She was born in Porterville, Utah on April 15, 1912. She m arried McRay Magleby, Sr. in 1938 in the Salt Lake LDS Tem ple. She attended Utah State University and earned a B.S. in Education and M .S. in Educational Psychology from the University of Utah. She later received her doctorate in Education al Psychology with em phasis on learning disabilities. She was a dedicated teacher for m any years and a specialist on the staff of the Utah State Office of Education. She served on the Advisory Board of the Learning Disabilities Association of Utah. Dr. Magleby received num erous com m endations for her work with exceptional populations. She was an active m em ber of the LDS Church and served in m any capacities, but the role that she enjoyed m ost was that of serving her fam ily. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Auer; sons, M cRay Magleby Jr.,Tom D. Magleby (Elaine); six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Preceded in death by her husband, McRay Magleby, Sr. Graveside services will be held W ednesday, October 8, 2014 at 11:30 at W asatch Lawn Mem orial Park, 3401 South Highland Drive Florence Alcea Deming Magleby, PhD 1912 ~ 2014
