Fr Simon Penhallagan – Niklas Carlsson
“And we all, with unveiled faces, beholding the glory of the Lord, are
being changed into his likeness from one degree of glory to another; for
this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit” (2 Cor 3:18)
“Let the light of your face shine on us, O Lord” (Ps 18:2)
The Glory of God, which surpasses all understanding, is all around us: in the world, in the Church, in
ourselves. God created the Universe in order for His creatures to share in His glory; the glory of God is the very
reason for our existence. Yet often we lose sight of this tremendous fact. Today God is offering us a renewal of
mind and heart to recognise God’s Glory and to draw life from it.
The teaching of the Catholic Church rests on the four pillars of the Creed, the Sacraments, Morals, and Prayer
(CCC §13). Drawing on this great tradition, so full of brilliant insight and deep wisdom, this weekend includes
inspiring and practical teaching on:
 “Light from Light”: Jesus, Manifestation of God’s Glory  The Splendour of Truth: The Glory of Holiness 
The Eucharist: Sacrament of God’s Glory  The Gloria: Living Out the Angels’ Song 
 “He led them up a high mountain apart”: Prayer & The Transfiguration 
We will also open ourselves to receive the Light of God through ministry in the Power of the Holy Spirit. We
will seek to move from one degree of glory to the next (2 Cor 3:18) through joyful praise, Adoration, Holy
Mass, times of reflection, prayer, and intimate worship.
Saturday 10 am – 9.30 pm
Programme
Sunday 10 am – 5 pm
Mass included both days
Open Miracle Service Saturday evening from 6.30 pm.
Please invite your friends & family, especially those who are sick.
Charles Whitehead is current chairman of the International
Charismatic Consultation on World Evangelisation and
former president of the International Charismatic Renewal
Service in Rome. He also holds numerous other leadership
positions, both in Catholic and cross-church contexts. As such,
Charles has a unique insight into how the Spirit is moving in
the world today and a real heart for Christian unity. Author, international
speaker, and a knowledgeable, warm and engaging man; it is a joy for us to
welcome him.
Fr Simon Penhallagan has been a member of Sion Catholic
Community for Evangelism for the past 22 years and is the
current President of the community. He has worked in every
aspect of the community's mission work - parish, secondary
school, primary school and teaching and training – and has
spent ten years working full time in their youth ministry. Fr
Simon was ordained a priest of the Northampton Diocese in 2008 and is a
member of the Northampton Diocesan Service Team for Charismatic
Renewal. It is our privilege to welcome him.
Niklas Carlsson has been a member of the Cor et Lumen
Christi Community for 15 years. His background is in science
(MSc Engineering), but, during his time in the community, he
has also acquired an MA in Pastoral and Educational Studies;
a reflection of his passion for teaching the Faith. As well as
authoring the Called to Glory series of conferences, Niklas was responsible
for leading the very successful Catholic Miracle Rally, and is a popular
speaker at many of our other events.
CALLED TO GLORY testimonies:
“It’s been a little bit of Heaven – the whole course… The content as always
has been wonderful.”
“Wonderful informative talks from Niklas... Fantastic prayerful adoration,
and spot on ministry. I cannot thank you enough!”
“The music was the best ever. Lead singer Daniel sang and played
beautifully, adding so much to the praise and worship.”
“I feel I was rejuvenated spiritually; something I had lost in the last couple
of months.”
