About Frame
A Mogens Lassen sketch from 1943 forms the starting point for Frame,
a flexible storage solution comprised of square boxes in cubic frames.
Frame modules can be hung directly on the wall, connected together,
stacked, or stand on their own on the floor. Combine Frame modules
into a classic shelf, a unique sculpture or something entirely new. The
individual combination options are endless. Frame is manufactured
in Denmark and created with attention to detail. Frame unites
functionality, quality and aesthetics. You decide the ultimate look.
•••
helt tredje.

About Frame
Stacked like small boxes atop one another or as simple, beautiful objects,
Frame serves both a decorative and a practical purpose. Combine
the wooden boxes with the colored boxes, or aim for the pure and
simple look. The small Frame boxes can also be connected to the large
Frame modules and used as a small display for your favorite objects.
•••

31
About Kubus 4
With a sharp sense of contemporary Functionalist style, Mogens Lassen
designed the iconic Kubus candleholder in 1962, a piece once
reserved solely for family and close architect colleagues. The Kubus is
still crafted in Denmark, and among architects and design connoisseurs
it has acheived the status of a modern international design icon.
•••
32
About Kubus 8
In 1962 the first Kubus 8 candleholders were completed. A well-known
furrier family purchased one of them, and they were so pleased with
the Kubus 8 that they invited friends over for dinner to showcase the
piece. Architect and designer Finn Juhl was present that evening. The
Kubus 8 was a highly anticipated work of art, and such was the case
with Mogens Lassen’s designs. They were admired as true works of art.
•••
og bl.a. Finn Juhl sad med til bords. Kubus 8 var et kunstværk,
som var ventet med spænding. Og sådan var det med Mogens
Lassens designs. Man beundrede dem som ægte kunstværker.

About Kubus 1
Architect Mogens Lassen was commissioned to design the interior for
a restaurant in North Zealand, and it was within the context of this
assignment that the Kubus 1 was born. The square-shaped Kubus 1
gathered people around the table just as Mogens intended, and its
characteristic shape and simple light created an atmosphere of coziness
throughout the entire restaurant. The Kubus 1 still decorates tables in the
very same restaurant, because good design lives on for generations.
•••
samme restaurant – for godt design levere videre i generationer.

45
About Line
Mogens Lassen designed throughout his entire life, and he could never stop
working on pieces he had already completed. In 1983 he reapproached
his own geometric candleholders, and the result was Line, whose shape was
conceived through a mathematical formula. The two candleholders form a single
line, and the architectural look fits perfectly with contemporary minimalism.
•••

The Lassen brothers always knew that they would become architects. Their
enthusiasm spread to their good friend Arne Jacobsen, and they convinced
him to become an architect. Later, the brothers received a letter of thanks
from Jacobsen’s father for convincing his son also to become an architect.
