Ref.No.BU/R/A1/2014/17521 Date:10.10.2014 From To The Registrar The Principals of all Colleges affiliated to Bharathiar University Sir / Madam Sub: Courses conducted on Provisional affiliation basis – Application for obtaining Continuance of Provisional affiliation / Permanent Affiliation / Increase in intake for the year 2015-2016 – Applications – called for –Appropriate format – Reg. ***** With reference to the above subject cited, it is informed that colleges requested to apply for the grant of the following during the academic year 2015-2016 for the courses offered in their college may apply to the University on or before 31st December 2014 in the specified Application. Copies of Application can be downloaded from the Bharathiar University Website www.b-u.ac.in. S. No. Purpose 1. For grant of Continuance of Provisional Affiliation 2. For grant of Permanent Affiliation 3. For grant of increase in intake Application to be Used Application for CPA /PA /PII The Colleges are eligible to apply for Permanent affiliation of a course, after one batch of students has passed out from the start of the course in the college. Hence, Colleges are advised not to apply for the grant of Permanent affiliation for a course, if the UG course was started during or after 2013 - 2014 and PG course was started during or after 2015 - 2016. For Obtaining Permanent Increase in intake the colleges should apply along with the required fees. The Applications received without Permanent increase in intake fees will not be considered. Further Inspection Commission will be constituted only for the courses applied by the College. Recommendations of the Inspection commission, for the courses not applied by the college will be neglected. P.T.O. ..2.. The Colleges are also informed that no student shall be admitted to a course during the academic year 2015-2016 under any circumstances (except for the courses for which permanent affiliation had been obtained) without obtaining the continuance of provisional affiliation from the University and any such admission made to the course by the college will be violative of the rules of the University and students so admitted will not be permitted to appear for the University Examinations. The colleges shall be solely responsible for such a situation and may face a possibility of being brought under “No Admission” category for the academic year 2016-2017. Colleges will be required to pay on demand, a sum of Rs.15,000/- to the University for each visit of the Inspection Commission and Rs.20,000/- for each visit of Re-Inspection commission.
