The Ecole Pour l’Informatique et les Techniques Avancées (EPITA) confers
an engineering degree - CTI that is recognized by the French government
through the national commission on engineering and a Master of Science
et Technology a French national diploma with a concentration in computer
science (taught in English). The school trains upper-level executives
and generalist engineers in the field of information and communication
technologies. Graduates are qualified to assume a wide range of assignments within the firm, such as R&D manager, quality manager, team or
project leader, and, depending on their area of specialization, consultant
on emerging technologies or opportunities. Graduates may also serve as
product marketing managers or technical sales representatives. Since it
was established in 1984, EPITA has oriented itself closely to the needs
of French and international enterprises so as to produce managers who
can hit the ground running, whether in design and development or in
management and administration. Around its scientific core, EPITA has built
a strong entreprise through courses in management, lectures and seminars by leading executives, and a large number of operational projects.
The program requires three internships, by which students gain 13 to 15
months of practical experience in France and abroad
Main programmes of study
After the core program, EPITA offers a choice of 8 majors (options): System
Security, Telecommunications, Information Systems and Software Engineering, Computer Engineering of Real-Time Systems and embedded, Global
IT Management (in English), Multimedia and Information Technologies for
the Company, Cognitive Sciences and Scientific, Computing and Imaging
for students planning careers in basic research. The last major «Technology
and Management», taught in English, prepare to carrers in Management of
International projects Students interested in the possibility of earning a joint
degree can take advantage of EPITA’s several partnership agreements with
Stevens Institute of Technology (New York) with Griffith College in Ireland,
with UQAC in Canada, Ahlia University in Bahrain and Beijing Jiaotong
University in China.
Research
EPITA has a fundamental research structure (LRDE) which is oriented

PROFILE
towards scientific computing, imag and signal processing, software
engineering and model checking. Its applied research team is intended to
develop the research of innovating firms in the areas of internet technologies, mobile computing or artificial intelligence (3ie). A third laboratory (LSE)
is devoted to operating system security. It allows students to participate in
research activity in collaboration with faculty members.
