GLOBAL INSURANCE ISSUES
Amsterdam (Thursday, 16 October 2014) - Leaders from the International Association of Insurance
Supervisors (IAIS) will be available on Thursday, 23 October, to discuss IAIS activities and issues
addressed during the IAIS 2014 Annual Conference held in Amsterdam and hosted by De
Nederlandsche Bank. The Annual Conference agenda, which is available at www.iais2014.org,
includes sessions on future developments and challenges in insurance supervision, the IAIS
Insurance Capital Standard and Basic Capital Requirements, financial inclusion, recovery and
resolution planning, the challenges of the low interest rate environment and new approaches to
corporate governance. Keynote addresses are also being delivered by Jeroen Dijsselbloem, Dutch
Minister of Finance and President of the Eurogroup and John Huff, Director of the Missouri (USA)
Department of Insurance, Financial Institutions & Professional Registration.
