Monogramming is one of the most popular forms of machine
embroidery. From elegant traditional styles to whimsical children’s
designs, there is a style to fit nearly any personalized project.
Monogramming is a great beginning point for those who are just
learning to do machine embroidery. It is perfect for personalizing
gifts and home dec.
This workbook and video set will introduce you to the art of
designing machine monograms with 4D Monogram & Vision
software. One of the exciting unique features of this software is the
capability to view a monogram on a garment or project. There are
hundreds of built-in garment backgrounds or you can import a

select from over 500 monogram envelopes (shapes). Add frames,
flourishes or borders around the design. Choose from one, two, or
three-letter monograms or select a name.

This workbook and video series combines software exercises with
practical information about sewing and embroidery. The DVD
opens with a primer on machine embroidery and introduces how to
select appropriate stabilizers, threads, and needles. It also
includes video tutorials of selected workbook software exercises.
The 4D ExpressMonogram Wizard is available as an add-on for the
Pfaff or Husqvarna/Viking 4D Embroidery software, or as a
standalone package through the Inspira 4D Monogram & Vision
software. For clarity, in this workbook, “4D Monogram” refers to
either software option unless noted otherwise.
