Location: all programs are taught at the North Terrace
campus except where indicated in the notes.
Part-time study: all programs can be studied part-time
except the Bachelors of Science (Veterinary Bioscience),
Dental Surgery, Oral Health, and Medicine and Surgery.
Deferred study: all programs, except music programs
(including double degrees), can be deferred for at
least one year.
English language requirements for undergraduate
entry: international students who have completed an
Australian year 12 qualification (except IB students) and
who wish to gain entry into the University of Adelaide,
must have studied a recognised English subject (visit
international.adelaide.edu.au/apply, select ‘Admissions
Information’ and then ‘English Language Requirements’
for a list) and have achieved a pass grade in this subject.
An acceptable English language proficiency test may be
arranged only for students who complete the subject
without achieving a pass grade.
Successful completion of the International Baccalaureate
Diploma meets the English language requirements.

Meet the prerequisites, achieve an 80 ATAR or
above and you’re in (and we’ll provide a great
alternative engineering option if your first choice
is oversubscribed).
75 Science programs*
Adelaide Approved score 75
Meet the prerequisites, achieve a 75 ATAR or
above and you’re in. And if you think you’ll
score under 75—don’t stress! There are still
opportunities to study science at Adelaide.
*There are some exceptions.
80 Architectural Design program
Adelaide Approved score 80
No prerequisites to meet—get an 80 ATAR or
above and you’re in! If you achieve a score
below 80, you will still be considered for a place
in the Bachelor of Architectural Design through
the usual SATAC offer process.
70 Humanities and Social Science programs
Adelaide Approved score 70
No prerequisites to meet—get a 70 ATAR or
above and you’re in. And if you think you’ll score
under 70, don’t stress! There are still many
opportunities to study the humanities and social
sciences at Adelaide.
