PRE-PAID WORLD SERIES:
The 2014 Top Gun / GSA Winter World Series will be a pre paid World Series. Entry Fee
for all teams must be paid by Deadline Entry Date for all teams, including teams receiving
Free Paid Berths that have participate in the Winter Zone Qualifiers. Contact the Top Gun
office to enter and pre pay. p
GAME FORMAT:
Top Gun / GSA Winter World Series will be a four (4) game format for all teams, and some
teams may receive up to 8 games, providing we have No Rain Issues. Games will begin on
Friday evening for all teams. Championships will be Sunday. No Game Time Request for
this Event will be accepted.
ENTRY DEADLINE:
October 24-26---Entry Deadline is Monday October 13, 2014. Teams will be taken on a first
come basis until the tournament becomes full.
November 7-9---Entry Deadline is Tuesday October 28, 2014. Teams will be taken on a first
come basis until the tournament becomes full.
ENTRY FEE
PRE PAID EVENT:
The 2014 Top Gun / GSA Winter World Series will be a Pre Paid Event for ALL teams. Contact
the Top Gun Office to pre pay for this event. Teams that have won a Free Paid Berth and
participated in the Winter Zone Qualifier will have to contact the Top Gun Office. The entry fee is
as follows ---Free for Coach Pitch Teams with a $200.00 refundable deposit, $525.00 for ages
9-12 & under, $575.00 for 13u-14u. Entry Fee for 15u-High School is $650.00. The entry fee is
non-refundable after the deadline entry date of each event for any reason, which includes not
enough players, etc. Money orders or certified checks must be made payable to Play Top Gun
Sports. Credit Cards will be taken at Play Top Gun Sports Office at 704-786-4754 if needed. Send

FREE BERTHS:
All teams will have to pay a Pre Paid Entry Fee to the 2014 Top Gun / GSA World Series.
Teams that have won a Free Paid Berth and participated in the Winter Zone Qualifier will need to
contact the Top Gun office. Free Paid Berth Teams that drop after Deadline Entry Date will be
charged the Full Entry Fee. After deadline available spots will be issued to At Large Teams only.
These teams will be taken on a first come basis until the facilities are full.
SCHEDULES:
The new Pre Paid World Series format, will hopefully keep teams from dropping at the last
moment, creating scheduling issues with Top Gun. The pre paid format will hopefully allow us a
release a schedule must earlier than past years. We hope we can have something up on Wednesday
prior.
COACHES MEETING:
The Coaches Meeting will be on Line with the Schedules. Top Gun Rules will be followed.
Coaches must have all team information with them at all times, see below. Coach should turn
tournament roster in to the site director before World Series play begins.
TEAM INSURANCE:
Each team must provide a valid 2014 certificate of team insurance naming Top Gun Sports, LLC
as the additionally insured. TOP GUN WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONSHIPS will accept other
national programs insurance policies, excluding AAU Insurance. Insurance may be purchased
by contacting the Play Top Gun Sports World Series Office.
COACHES SHOULD HAVE A COPY OF THIS INFORMATION WITH THEM AT ALL TIMES FOR THE WINTER
WORLD SERIES.

Divisions will be based on the number of teams participating. We will offer Division
1, Division 2, and Division 3.
Cannot turn next older age prior to May 1, 2015---Born on or after May 1, 2015 is ok.
All entry information must be Dateline Entry Date for your age division. All entry fees must be in the form
of either a cashier’s check or money order. No personal checks will be accepted. Credit Card accepted by

OVERNIGHT EXPRESS IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED IF NECESSARY! Send all overnight

The Host Committee has spent many hours planning and preparing for this Event. In order to make it a
great success, we are asking for your cooperation. It is the responsibility of the coach, designated person of
the team, or athlete to return all necessary monies and complete forms by the receiving deadline date. It is
not the responsibility of Play Top Gun Sports to make sure all requirements are met, but ONLY TO
ACCEPT OR REJECT ENTRY(S) BASED ON DOCUMENTS SUBMITTED.
INSURANCE:
Each team must provide valid 2015 certificate of team insurance. All personnel on the field or in the
dugout (athletes, coaches, managers, scorekeepers) must be members of their Team and be listed on the
team roster that has been submitted to Play Top Gun Sports. Insurance may be purchased, contact the
World Series office @ 704-786-4754. Top Gun does not accept AAU Insurance due to being Athlete
Insurance and not team insurance.
COMPETITION:
TOP GUN / GSA WORLD SERIES play will start on Friday evening, with all teams playing at 7:00pm.
Pool Play will determine competition level, leading to a championship bracket. Four (4) game minimum
guarantee weather permitting, with a possible maximum of eight (8) games.
RULES OF PLAY:
National High School Federation rules will be used, and Play Top Sports additions. Play Top Gun Sports
web site for rules.
AWARDS:
1st, 2nd, team trophies and individual trophies in all brackets will be awarded to each Bracket PER AGE
GROUP.
SOUVENIRS:
We recommend and suggest you pre-order you Top Gun World Series
Souvenir T-Shirts at 704-786-4754. We will have them bagged and
ready for you at team check in. We will not guarantee any Tournament
T-Shirts other than the Pre-Orders at the tournament.
COACHES:
All Coaches should turn in the World Series Roster to the Site Director prior to playing the first game.
Coaches must have with them a copy of the World Series Roster, Copy of Birth Certificates, and Copy of
Insurance.
Each team is entitled to a maximum of four (4) bench coaches. Each individual must be a roster member.
The daily tournament admission fee for the (4) coaches and athletes is included in the team entry fee.
Coaches are responsible to see that their team meets all eligibility requirements.
The head coach will be the team contact for further mailings to distribute information unless the
team otherwise states on the roster form.
PLAYER ROSTER:
Rosters for the TOP GUN / GSA WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONSHIPS are limited to a maximum of 20
players.
PITCHERS SHOES:
Pitcher’s are allowed to wear rubber cleats, turf shoes, etc. Steel /Metal Cleats are Prohibited on
portable mounds.
PLAYER AGE:
DETERMINATION:
The age determination date is May 1, 2015. The age of the athlete on May 1 determines
the age division. Proof of age must be submitted with entry. Only the following documents are
acceptable:
a) A copy of birth record from the STATE, COUNTY, COUNTRY, OR MUNICIPAL OF BUREAU OF
VITAL STATISTICS:
b) A copy of the delayed registration of birth if the athlete’s birth was not recorded on his day of birth
issued by and of the same bodies listed above.
c) Consular Service Form FS 240, “Report of Birth”, issued by the US Department of State.
d) Immigration and Naturalization Forms I-151 and I-25 and Form 43 R3117, issued by the United States
department of Justice.
HOSPITAL RECORDS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE!!!
PROTESTS:
Protests must be made verbally with the umpire at the time of the play and before the next pitch. A fee of
$100.00 cash (refund if upheld) must accompany the protest. All decisions of the protest committee shall
be final. Only decisions involving the misinterpretation or misapplication of a rule may be protested. No
protest shall be allowed in matters involving solely officials’ judgment.
