GREAT SOUTHWEST CIVITAN DISTRICT MEETING and Foundation Board Meeting (5:30 -6:30) & GSWCD Board Meeting (6:30-8:00; dinner will be provided): Friday, November 7 6:00pm – 8:00pm NM Hospital Association 7471 Pan American Frwy. NE (located on the west side of I-25 between Paseo del Norte and San Antonio/Ellison) Claus for a Cause: Saturday, November 8 nd UNM Continuing Education Conference Center 1634 University Blvd. NE Clubs and vendor may setup for the 2 Claus for a Cause from 8:30 - 9:30am; doors open to the public at 10:00am; tear down is from 3:00-3:30pm. We have 21 clubs participating, 3 Junior Civitan Clubs, the GSWCD District, the District Foundation, and the Junior GSWC District. United Blood Services will also be setup for our first blood drive, from 9:00-2:30pm. Immediately following the Claus for a Cause, from 4:00-6:15pm, the District Meeting General Session with new GSWCD Governor Stew Reinhold will convene, followed by the Awards Banquet. Appetizers and entertainment 6:15-6:30; Dinner at 6:30 Awards Banquet: 6:15 – 9:00pm The theme for this year’s Awards Banquet is the Academy Awards. Plan to attend this red carpet event. The many wonderful projects in our communities and your hard work will be recognized . Who will be Honor Clubs this year, who will be Club of the Year and the Civitan of the Year?? The Awards Committee certainly had their work cut out for them.
