} OCTOBER IS RESPECT FOR LIFE MONTH –
throughout the Catholic Churches. The Pennies for
Life Fund Raiser will go through the month of
October. Please place in basket in vestibule of the
Church. All money will go towards the Respect for
Life fund for St. Michael.
KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS –
Trunk or Treat – Saturday, Oct. 25th at 6:30 p.m.
Kids come dressed in your costumes to trick or
treat out of the trunks of your cars. Parents
decorate your trunks and bring you treats to hand
out. Hot dogs will be served and then the trick or
treating will begin.
KC Essay Contest has begun for all students 8-12th
grade. Prizes will be awarded in each grade
division with Seniors competing for a $1000.00/4
years scholarship. Entry forms are available at

Dec. 15th.
KC Substance Abus poster contest is open for 8-14

ADULT FAITH FORMATION - classes are on
Sundays at 9:45 a.m. in the parish Education
building. This season’s class is the “Priest,
Prophet, King” video series from Fr. Barron.
Format will be a 20-30 minute video and group
discussion and reflection afterward.
No
registration required. All are welcome.
ANGELS OF MERCY – We provide assistance to new and
expectant mothers in St. Michael Parish. If your family is
expecting, please contact Lori Williams at 601-638-8448
or the Rectory so we may keep your family in our
prayers.
CYO – will meet this Sunday after 11 a.m. Youth Mass. Lunch
will be provided. Youth Day Natchez registration forms and

ANNUAL WOMEN’S RETREAT – on Oct. 24-26 is “Women’s
Annual Retreat” at St. Mary of the Pines in Chatawa, MS. Fall
Retreats promise stillness, joyful renewal. For more info,

PLEASE JOIN ST. PAUL PARISH AND BISHOP KOPACZ – for
Msgr. Flannery’s presentation on the Miraculous Image and
Apparitions of Our Lady of Guadalupe. The talk will be held on
Wednesday, Oct. 22nd on the 3rd floor of Farrell Hall beginning
at 7 p.m. The purpose of the talk is to increase our
understanding of Blessed Mother under this title and to thank
her for having her son, bishop Kopacz, appointed Bishop and
named to our Diocese on her feast day, Dec. 12th . The Bishop
honors the Virgin under this image through her red rose on his
coat-of-arms. Come and learn why Our Lady of Guadalupe has
been given the additional title, Protectess of the Unborn.
FIRST COMMUNION – There will be an important meeting for
parents of children making their First Communion on
Thursday, Oct. 23rd at 6 p.m.
BEREAVEMENT COMMITTEE – We are here to help you and
your family while dealing with the loss of a loved one.
Volunteers prepare meals for parishioners who suffer a loss in
their family. If this committee can be of help to you, please
contact the Rectory. We are always happy to have new
volunteers in this ministry. WE ARE IN NEED OF MORE
VOLUNTEERS….please call Christy Middleton at 638-7398 or

this wonderful ministry.
ST. PAUL AND MONSIGNOR MICHAEL FLANNERY’S
PRESENTATION - St. Michael Parishioners are invited to
attend “Our Lady of Guadalupe’s Apparitions and the
Explanation of the Symbolism in Juan Diego’s Tilma” on
Wednesday, Oct. 22nd at 7 p.m. in Farrell Hall. Special Guest
will be Bishop Kopacz, who has included the rose of Our Lady
of Guadalupe in the upper right of his coat of arms.
