Altavista On Track (AOT) exists to enhance our town by strengthening community
identity, pride and economic vitality. Altavista
has been a designated Virginia Main Street
Community since 2007.
ALTAVISTA ON TRACK PRESENTS……
2014 Giblet Jog 5K
Some our events include:
—-Uncle Billy’s Day Festival Classic Car
Show held at English Park in June.

April to October to increase business customers in town.
—-Town-wide Yard Sale in September at the
Trade Lot which coincides with retail business
sales.
—Annual Scarecrow Stroll in October which
promotes businesses and organizations and
also brings many visitors to town.

RACE INFORMATION
PARKING
Course: The course will take you around English Park
and then to the back part of the Park, under development. This course winds along an old farm road,
through fallow fields and past structures of days gone
by, all adjacent to the Staunton River. It’s a beautiful
way to start Thanksgiving!
Ample parking is available at English Park
DIRECTIONS
Altavista, VA is located on Hwy 29
between Lynchburg and Danville.
Registration Procedures: Participants may register
ONLINE for $22 until Nov. 21 (no refunds). After
Nov 21 through race day the registration fee is $27.
From the north, take 29 S to the 1st
Altavista exit. Follow Business 29 S to
the left about 2.75 miles to Pittsylvania
Ave., turn left. Park entrance is
.25 miles on the right.
Special Rates of $17.00 for each Child 17 & under.
Early Packet Pickup: November 25 & 26 at the
AOT Office at Town Hall, 12pm-2pm.
Race Day Registration & Packet Pickup:
7:15 am-8:15 am at Booker Bldg.
5K Run starts at 8:30 am

From the south, take 29 N to the 1st
Altavista exit & turn right off the ramp
onto Rt. 43. Go about 2 miles to Main
St. & turn left. Turn right at the 2nd
traffic light onto Pittsylvania Ave.
Park entrance is .25 mi. on the right.
