About the Conference
India has the unique distinction of being not only
one of the fastest growing economies but also
demographically, one of the youngest countries of
the world. The estimates of the recent census
project that India shall be the most populous
country with 64% of its population in the age group
of 15-59 years by 2025. The present conference
aims to find out solutions to augment India’s
national efforts to address the needs of young
people through holistic and multi-sectoral
approaches. This way India will be able to
navigate through the thin ice that it currently
stands on and meet the challenge of converting
this population into a demographic dividend which
will have positive reverberations for the future
growth of the nation and eventually rise as a true
global power. This conference offers a unique
opportunity to further shape a holistic vision and to
promote the discussion on holistic growth. It will
cover various dimensions like technology,
management practices, commerce, theory and
practice and ultimately economic growth and
development of the country.
The Jaipur Xavier Educational Association (JXEA)
was established in 1950, as a trust managed by
the Jesuits. In 2006 the foundation Xavier
Vocational Institute (XVI) was laid in Jaipur to
provide vocational training to the economically
challenged sections of society. In 2010 the JXEA,
in collaboration with the Xavier Alumni Assosiation
initiated the Higher Education Program and
established the St. Xavier's College, Jaipur,
affiliated to the University of Rajasthan. The
college is maintained by the members of the Delhi
province of the Society of Jesus. St. Xavier's,
Jaipur has been making rapid strides in its pursuit
of excellence at par with other Jesuit institutions of
higher learning, since its inception. The skills and
knowledge that is needed in the 21st century in the
global context are being imparted with a broadbased academic curriculum.
