Eligibility
Players having the FIDE rating of 1900 & above (as on 1st December,2014) only are allowed to participate in this
event however, General Secretary can allow four promising youngsters from Tamil Nadu with the rating beow1900
at his discretion.

System of Play:
The tournament will be conducted as per FIDE Laws of Chess and FIDE Swiss System with 10 rounds.
Time Control :
90 Minutes each plus 30 seconds increment from move no.1.
Tie Break:
In case of a tie, the latest FIDE Rules shall come in to effect. The Cash prizes however will not be shared.
Accommodation:
All GMs will be provided free hotel accommodation on double sharing basis.
All IMs/WGMs/WIMs will be provided free hotel accommodation on double/triple sharing basis.
All other participants will be provided hotel accommodation on triple sharing basis/dormitory accommodation for
entire duration of the event (other than Chennai and adjoining district players). The accompanying persons will have
to bear their own expenses.

GENERAL INFORMATION
Entry Registration:
All the entries to be forwarded along with entry form and entry fee by DD favoring Tamil Nadu State Chess
Association, payable at Chennai. Address for sending the entries is the Tamil Nadu State Chess Association, Hall
No : 75, Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Chennai-600 003
Entry Fee Form:
It is mandatory to forward the entry form in the given format for accepting the entries along with prescribed entry
fee. Organiser’s have the right to accept or reject any entry without assigning any reason.
AICF Registration:
AICF registration fee for 2014-15 is compulsory for all Indian participants. The registration fee of Rs. 250/- will be
accepted at the venue for the convenience of the players.
TNSCA Registration:
TNSCA registration fee for 2014-15 is compulsory for Tamilnadu Players. The TNSCA registration fee of Rs. 100/for the year 2014-15.
Tie-break:
Buchholz tie-break system will be applied.
Protests:
Protests, if any against the decision of the Chief Arbiter, shall be made in writing with a protest fee of Rs.500/within 30 minutes of the occurrence of the incident. The amount shall be refunded if the appeal is upheld.
Withdrawals:
A Player may withdraw at any stage of the event, after informing Chief Arbiter in writing.
Appeals Committee:
Before the commencement of the tournament, five members Committee of Appeal with two reserves shall be formed
by AICF/organisers. All the members and reserves shall be from different states. No member of the committee can
vote on a dispute in which a player from his own unit is involved and in such case the reserve member(s) shall take
his/their place in the committee.
Rights of Admission:
The AICF/TNSCA reserve the right to admit/refuse any entry without assigning any reason thereof.
The AICF/TNSCA reserve the rights of admission to the venue.
