PRCS Initial Response
a. PRCS relief operation commenced on 22nd June with initial response as under:1) Cooked rice to approx. 23000 IDPs
2) Health care to 1,690 IDPs through deployment of 4 x Mobile Health Units
3) Deployment of 05 Ambulances
4) Provision of 22,000 liters of clean Drinking Water
b. PRCS case load to assist the IDPs are as under:1) Non Food Items
8,000 families (One time distribution)
2) Food Items
10,000 Families (Through WFP for three months)

d. To support this operation over 134 x Volunteers have deployed in NWA IDPs Operation
as per need in different sectors.
2.
PRCS Sectoral Interventions
a. Health Care and Ambulance Services: In total 8 x Mobile Health Units were
deployed and total 186,926 patients have been treated so far.
b. Water & Sanitation Services. WatSan assessment was completed in 12 UCs, targeting
35 villages and some 8,313 individuals. The progress made so far as under:Installation of

1 c. Distribution of Non Food Items (NFI): Distribution of 8,000 x Non-food items has
been completed in District Bannu and FR Bannu.
d. Distribution of Food Items (FI):
1) The distribution of 1900 x Food Packs (25 kg each approx) provided by PRCS
Punjab Branch.
2) 1st and 2nd round of food distribution to 10,000 families, started from 10th Aug,
2014, with the support of WFP has been completed.
e. Under the 3rd round of distribution, till date 3,789 food packs have been distributed.
f.
PRCS with support of WFP will enhance the caseload of food distribution to 16,500
families for the months of November and December, 2014.
g. Psychosocial Support Program (PSP): PRCS is continuing to provide the providing
Psychological services to IDPs of NWA through their MHUs. The main ongoing activities
are as under:1)
Catharsis sessions (Individual/group)
2)
Psycho education-increase awareness about Psychological reactions
3)
Identification of EVI (Extremely vulnerable individuals) and EVF
(Extremely vulnerable families)
4)
Referral
h. Restoring Family Links (RFL): PRCS has successfully restored the family linkages of
the identified 34 x displaced families cases, however, 17 x new cases are being
identified to be catered.
