Agri-Fest and Pottery Comes to Town event
in downtown Cleveland this Saturday, Sept. 27
You know fall is in the
air, and what better way
to kick off the season than
with a festival? The 7th
Annual White County
Agri-Fest/Country Market
and the 4th Annual Pottery
Comes to Town event will
be held this Saturday, Sept.
27, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in
downtown Cleveland.
Some of the activities
planned include agriculturerelated vendor booths,
alpacas, goats, cows and
other favorite farm animals.
Pick up some fresh produce.
Bring your children to enjoy
rides, face painting, crazy
hair, and more.
More than 25 wellknown area potters will be
on hand with their unique
artful creations. The “Pottery Comes to Town” show
will take place in the paved
parking lot of the White
County Courthouse. The
Historical Society is the
sponsor for this portion of
the day’s activities. Contact

Guns to be Raffled
at Agri-Fest
Don’t miss the chance
to win one of three guns
to be raffled off during the
Agri-Fest on Sept. 27, at
Freedom Park. This is a new
fundraiser for the chamber
and a great opportunity for
someone to win some valuable prizes.
Sautee Guns is the presenting sponsor of the fall
raffle just in time for deer
season. The firearms that
will be raffled will include:
a Ruger RUG AMER-SR
Rifle 308 B with Scope;
a FNS-40 Handgun; and
a Model FN P-12 Gauge
Pump Shotgun.
Huntsmen and huntswomen alike will not want
to miss this opportunity to
win. Tickets are only $10
each and may be purchased
from any of the Chamber’s
directors or ambassadors.
You may also purchase
tickets at the Chamber office, Mon-Fri. 8 a.m. to 4:30
p.m.
Any remaining tickets
will be sold at the Chamber’s booth during Agri-Fest
at Freedom Park. Buy many
and buy often for your
best chances to win. The
drawing will take place at
approximately 3 p.m. at the
conclusion of the festival
at Freedom Park. You must
be at least 21 years old to
purchase tickets.
Winners will receive
their prize by going directly
to Sautee Guns on Helen
Highway. Choice of gun
is based on order of name
drawn.
Winners of the raffle will
receive a complimentary
gun safety class, presented
by NRA certified instructor,
Carl Dann of Smoky Mountain Traders.
The Front Porch Gliders performed last year and will once again be one of the featured
musical groups performing at this year’s Agri-Fest on Sept. 27.

We have a new face at the chamber, Tracy Pato. Tracy is the chamber’s new Administrative Assistant.
Tracy is no stranger to the chamber as she has been a Chamber
Member and served as an Ambassador for the past year. Tracy has
lived in White County for almost
20 years and comes to the chamber with a wealth of business and
administrative experience. Tracy
is married to Rufino Pato and has
a 12-year-old daughter, Hailey.

opportunity to be more involved
in the community through working at the chamber.

The Chamber welcomes new
intern from Truett-McConnell College. Trae Jackson is a sophomore
at Truett-McConnell College and
is majoring in business marketing.
He is from Jacksonville, Florida,
and plays on the men’s basketball

social networking along with website updating. “We are so excited
to have Trae as our intern. This will
be a great learning experience for

annual Unicoi Wine Festival. The
festival will feature wine tastings,
gourmet food, live music and local art

1, at the Historic Hardman Farm on
Ga. 17 across from the Indian Mound.

festival
The second annual Wine Festival
will be held on Nov. 1, at the Hard-
man Farm in Sautee. The Chamber is
currently accepting applications for
artisan and food vendors. This will
be a juried show and pictures must
accompany applications for consideration. Only handmade items and fine
art vendors will be considered.
Volunteers are also needed. If you
are interested in becoming a volunteer
for the Unicoi Wine Festival, contact
