Emirates – Prodecures for Passengers Affected by the New US Air travel Restrictions
due to the EBOLA Virus
With immediate effect ticket sales to passengers with origin in the affected countries (Sierra Leone, Guinea, and Liberia) to the US and beyond are
only accepted via entry ports JFK, ORD, IAD.
Tickets to all other EK’s US destinations and to points beyond (via EK gateways IAH, DFW, SFO, LAX, SEA) cannot be sold to the affected passengers.

Airline Booking Policies
Inactive status codes and all other airline schedule changes are a means by which airlines communicate. It is important for you to action relevant
changes .This practice will help your agency avoid airline service fee charges being sent when agents are not compliant with the booking policies.
An example of non-compliant practices is when an agency does not action inactive status codes sent by the airline.
Inactive status codes are HX, UN, NO, UC; US (refer to format finder for entire list). Other non-compliant practices include duplication of space,
fictitious bookings & ticket numbers, excessive passive bookings and / or “CHURNING” (Cancel / Rebook).
To avoid airline service fee charges (ADM’s), ensure you review and work queues promptly and action all status code changes an airline sends at
least 24 hours before the flight.

Schedule Change
Qatar Airways accepts reservations in advance of the passenger’s date of travel on the basis of existing published schedules. Many circumstances
may require Qatar Airways to make schedule changes after publication of our schedules.
The schedule change may be a change in the arrival or departure times, flight number, class of service involving a change in a booking designator,
frequency of operation or the airports served. When a QR flight is rescheduled, Qatar Airways advises all booking offices/agents through GDS by
placing PNR’s in the agent’s respective queue for their appropriate action.
When flight times are changed, the message advising the change will contain:
a) The flight segment using the status code “TK” when space is held and “TL” when space is waitlisted.
b) The new timings showing on segment affected by schedule change
When a flight or cabin class is cancelled, or will not operate to an airport as previously scheduled, QR will update the PNR with UN status.
