Dearly Beloved Brother Les and Sally,
Greetings to you in the name of the Lamb, our
Lord Jesus Christ, who takes away the sins of
the world. Thank you so much for your kind
prayers, suggestions, recent emails, and support
for the ministry, which we are grateful for. I
will answer your mail soon; I still need to meet
with the people and I will write you about the
arrangements for your visit. We are very glad to
hear about it and continually pray for you.
At the present we are facing a cyclone called
“Huddude.” It is mostly damaging the costal
area of the state of Andhra Pradesh. Today it
touched us and it is continually raining and
blowing the wind. Due to this wind we have the
power cut quiet often.
The Lord is so good and continually working
in lives giving us a good response to our film
ministry and the street evangelism. By His grace
we have opportunities to show the films and
have seen a great reception from the people.
Really, we thank God for the ministry and for
the equipment that the Lord has provided us
through you.
This week we showed the Jesus film in a village
called Madicherlla and another film about “a
family witness of the Cross” in the villages
Bommuluru and Dasarigudem. This film is very
good material about the Gospel and the cross.
The people are giving us very good response
to this film. We had a good follow up with the
“Jesus” film and next we are showing “Pilgrim’s
Journey” as the second part. Then we will show
the testimonies and the family witnesses in the
next follow up. In this way we are reaching the
people with the Gospel using the film ministry.
We have a fixed the date to visit Aswarao Pet
on the 16th of this month with 8 members on
the team. Mostly we will go street evangelizing
in the daytime and show the film at night.
We are praying for our transportation and the
arrangements for our trip to the new Telengana
state.
The kids feeding program is going well. The
children continually pray for you and for your
family members, too. Once again we want to
thank you for all you are doing for us in His
worthy name. I will be in touch with you soon.
Your brother in His Gospel work,
Pastor Hope and Roja
Correspondence From France
Hi Jack,
I was going to write to you and I just received
your email! We had an excellent time at the
seminar. There were around 100 people. (see
picture) The theme was “Church of Christ stand
up.” (It was a study on Revelation.)
The Outreach at Nanterre University started
again with the weekly Bible Study. We continue
to pray for salvation. We’ll have a Christmas
play on the 21st of December. It’s a good
opportunity to invite our non-Christian
friends. This week we’ll go with 3 brothers
on special training for youth ministry. That’s
a challenge for our Church, to help our
children to be involved.
Thanks for your prayers and we pray also for
you. We have a sweet remembrance of our
staying with you guys. Here, I am not going to
mention the pool anymore. :( Thanks for the
invitation of Jonathan for Thanksgiving.
Nelly is very happy with the Norwex stuff. It
works great! Please greet every one in Placentia.
It’s so great to have a family everywhere…The
Lord is too good!
May He bless you all,
Frantz
The New Parent – continued
14. Christ is your Righteousness—you’re
living like a pauper in comparison to all that
CHRIST is and has fully accomplished for
you. Live it up, AJ. ASK ME!
15. The Holy Spirit is a very present resource.
New Parents—everybody can identify in some
respect with parents~
Either you’ve had one, been one, still are one
(!), hope to be one, or can claim the glorious
title of “in-the-middle-of-changing-diapersand-cleaning-faces-and-struggling-with-thetantrum-that-my-kid-just-threw-in-front-ofa-bazillion-people-who-are-trying-not-tostare-too-obviously”--#yesmykidneedsjesus;
#andsodoi…
I’m the last one J! And I love how God is using
parenting to teach me life lessons from this
stage in life. Here are 20 of ‘em (in no particular
order!) that you may or may not relate to…
God’s been hammering these concepts and
ideas in … “Anna,” HE says, “AJ, kiddo…
1. Retrain your brain to fully believe 1Samuel
16:7 “God does not see the same way people
see, people look at the outside of a person, but
the Lord looks at the heart”
2. You can make yourself feel so very guilty and
distressed over the way you and your kid act,
but hey, “There is no condemnation to him
that is in Christ Jesus” Romans 8:1 Yeah, you’re
a sinner, you HAVE Jesus. HE’S it. All you need.
3. There’s not one thing that you can bring to
ME in prayer that I will laugh at or consider too
small to think about. Yeah, ask ME which order
to do your errands in, and then do ‘em. “Call to
me and I will answer you” Jeremiah 33:3…
4. And bring the BIG stuff in prayer too. Yeah,
pray about your child’s future lifestyle, pursuits,
loves, teachers, friendships, current struggles…
“…and I will answer you, and tell you great
and unsearchable things you do not know.”
(Jeremiah 33:3; NAS)
5. Your husband is a resource and HUGE
treasure; he will offer you practical and godly
insight. So be sure you pray for him too. Your
prayer for him will affect your own walk with
ME, and the lives of your children.
6. Your kids are sinners, and they help you see
your own sin magnified 100X!! I will use your
kids to discipline you! (Hebrews 12:9-12)
7. Your pride has no earthly limit. It manifests
in every way possible. Only JESUS, and God’s
Heavenly Grace, can set you free from it.
8. You owe your parents far greater respect,
honor, and thankfulness than you have ever
given them (to this day).
9. “…You lack wisdom…ask of God who
gives generously and without reproach” James
1:5. When you ask, don’t doubt ME, I am
WISDOM.
10. Home-life and training children are
currently your primary role and thus your
highest priority—read JOY. Deuteronomy 6:6-8
“These commandments that I give you today
are to be on your hearts. Impress them on
your children. Talk about them when you sit at
home and when you walk along the road, when
you lie down and when you get up.” Talking
about MY word with children will help you
relate truth to unbelievers too.
11. I AM the Ultimate Father/Parent. So use MY
example to parent.
12. I AM Wisdom and Counsel. Pour over MY
words; drink deep!
13. I AM Love—1 Corinthians 13:4-8—yep, it’s
a high standard. Nope, you can’t keep it. Yep,
Christ can be the love you need.
Continued
16. I AM Sovereign—this is your security while
you’re on earth. “But whoever listens to ME will
dwell secure and will be at ease, without dread
of disaster.” Yeah, disaster may come, but you
don’t need to fear it. REST loved one.
17. I AM Holy, Measureless and Grand—you
will never understand ME fully while on earth,
there is always more depth I can bring you into.
18. I AM Judge. Value my judgment and
opinion of you over any other opinion. And
STOP (I repeat STOP) comparing yourself to
other defendants. I don’t compare you that
way, I just see My Son.
19. I am your Designer, Trainer, and
Completer. Psalm 138:8, “The Lord will
fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love,
O Lord, endures forever. Do not forsake the
work of your hands.”
20. I am seen in every bit of MY creation.
Watch as your children experience MY
glories for the first time. Watch them enjoy
the wind in their face, taste a mango,
experiment with their voice, delight with
giggles at a friendly face. And remind
yourself again of whom I AM.
I’m sure there’s infinitely more to be
learned; the musings of this mother are just
beginning:D

Got a Book You’re Interested In? Check It Out at the Booktable!
A biography is a real story about a real person. We know that life isn’t
always “a lovely bed of rose,’” it often has struggles. It’s ups and downs,
things to overcome, failures. And then life also has lots of joys, triumphs
and surprises along the way. We can learn from others—especially from
a life in the hands and care of a loving God—that the bible has many of
these wonderful stories. Lives are still being formed for His glory, work
and purpose.
Drop by the book table! We have many such biographies that will inspire
you. Remember too that most of the books are for “lending,” that means
no charge! Just return the book when you are finished and share the
blessing with others. And don’t worry about “due dates” or fines for returning books late!

William Wilberforce—Freedom Fighter
» Betty S. Everett
A rising star in British politics, young William Wilberforce led a life of privilege and power.
Then he turned to Christ, and the Lord changed the focus of his heart. As a newly converted
Member of the English House of Commons, he spent the rest of his long and honored political
career promoting the freedom and rights of slaves.
William Carey: Missionary Pioneer
» Kellsye M. Finnie
“Expect great things from God. Attempt great things for God.” These words of the famous
pioneer missionary to India, William Carey, have stirred many a Christian since he proclaimed
them in 1792. Kellsye Finnie relates the powerful story of how Carey put his own words
into practice. From his days as an apprentice cobbler in Northamptonshire to his eventual
retirement as a distinguished linguist and professor, Carey’s achievements were profound, and
his dedication to the gospel inspiring.

The Uniqueness of Elisha
Elisha’s encounters with individuals are a
fascinating study through the book of II Kings.
We see his growth from servant of Elijah to the
spiritual advisor of kings. He is the prophet, “the
man of God,” and mentor to the sons of the
prophets. When it was time for Elisha to replace
Elijah, the latter questioned him, “Ask! What may
I do for you, before I am taken away from you?”
Elisha answered with huge faith, “Please let a
double portion of your spirit be upon me,” (II
Kings 2:9-10). His ministry proves that he received
his request as he witnessed Elijah’s rapture.
The ministry of Elisha, comparable to the
ministry of Christ, was one of merciful,
compassionate, human contact. Each story of
Elisha’s ministry brings to mind some precious
portion of the gospel narrative of Christ. A
widow in famine, the barren woman of Shunem,
Naaman the Syrian military commander, as well
as a variety of kings, knew wonderful blessing
and conversation with Elisha.
His spiritual insight stemmed from his close
friendship with God. Sometimes he had to
wait for that insight: “The Lord has hidden it
from me and has not told me,” (II Kings 4:27).
His fellowship with God was wondered at in a
neighboring country: when the Syrians waged
war on Israel, the Syrian king was convinced
there was a traitor in the ranks leaking his secret
battle plans since Israel managed to evade his
every maneuver. So, regarding the number
of traitors, one of the Syrian king’s servants
answered, “None, my lord, O king; but Elisha, the
prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel
the words that you speak in your bedroom,” (II
Kings 6:12). Because of Elisha, Israel was always a
step ahead!
By Sue Sapia
Where faith in God was lacking in
particular individuals, Elisha was there to plant it
or stretch it: healing the contaminated water of a
city, multiplying a widow’s oil, the birth of a son
to a childless couple, raising this same son to life,
purifying a poisonous pot of stew, the healing of
a leper, and the retrieval of an ax head. Yet most
of the kings of Israel and Judah and their people
persisted in unbelief.
To study the life of Elisha is to be immersed in
holy lessons of personal faith. We are challenged
to believe God at every turn for every type of
miracle in those around us. The parallels of Elisha’s
and Christ’s work with people remind us that
our God is working in every time period to save
and sanctify men and women. Even after Elisha
died and was buried, God would still use him: a
group of men were burying a man when Moabite
raiders came. Quickly they placed the dead man
in Elisha’s tomb. “When the man was let down
and touched the bones of Elisha, he revived and
stood on his feet,” (II Kings 13:21)!
Elisha, as a unique Christ-type, brought the hope
and assurance of resurrection. Hebrews 11:35 says
that by faith, “Women received their dead raised
to life again.” Surely that is a reference to the raising
from the dead of the Shunammite woman’s son.
What faith that worked in her! And what about the
women whose once dead husband and/or father,
walked through the door having just been buried?
All he knew was what he had been told: his corpse
came in contact with the bones of Elisha, and he
miraculously came to life again. Elisha and our
Lord Jesus Christ ministered to the loved people
of Israel; may we similarly be a blessing of life and
hope and faith to those around us.
