REMINDER: As of October 1, 1994, ASFA requires all dogs being entered in the OPEN, VETERANS or LIMITED STAKE for the first time to submit a completed HoundCertification form with their entry. STAKES OFFERED OPEN: Any eligible sighthound excluding A.S.F.A. Field Champions of Record that has met certification requirements. SINGLE : Any eligible sighthound including those disqualified to run in other stakes. Hounds are eligible to earn TCP & CPX titles from the Singles Stake. Limited breeds are not eligible for these titles. Hounds will run alone. Not eligible for BOB or BIF. FIELD CHAMPION : Any A.S.F.A. Field Champion. VETERAN : Eligible hounds over 6 years of age except Irish Wolfhounds whose age exceeds 5 years and Whippets and Rhodesian Ridgebacks and Afghan Hounds whose age shall exceed 7 years that have met certification requirements. LIMITED : Any eligible sighthound of a LIMITED Breed * that has met certification requirements. Not eligible for BOB or BIF. ***PLEASE NOTE*** FIRST TIME ENTERED HOUNDS (EXCEPT NGA GREYHOUNDS) MUST SUBMIT A COPY OF THEIR REGISTRATION WITH THEIR ENTRY FORMS ! ! BEST IN FIELD WILL BE OFFERED BOTH DAYS CONDITIONS OF ENTRY: All entries must be 1 year of age or older on the day of the Trial. Stakes will be split into flights by public random draw if the entry in any regular stake is 20 or more. Bitches in season, lame hounds and hounds with breed disqualifications will be excused at roll call. Spayed, neutered, monorchid or cryptorchid hounds without breed disqualifications may be entered. Hounds with breed disqualifications are not eligible to enter except the Single Stake. Hounds not present at the time of roll call will be scratched. All hounds will run twice, in trios if possible or braces (except in the Single Stake) unless excused, dismissed or disqualified. Muzzles will not be required but may be used at the handlers discretion. A $5.00 fine will be imposed for any loose hound on the field not competing in the course in progress. Club reserves the right to alter the course the day of the trial due to weather and/or field conditions. Owners must keep hounds under control and clean up after them. The course will be reversed for final courses, reversed again for Best of Breed, Best In Field, and Run-Offs. Certification runs will be offered after the trial. There will be a sign up sheet at the Secretary’s Table. You will be responsible for providing your own “Bye” dog for all Pre Certs. This should be a dog of the same breed or one of similar running style/speed and preferably NOT a kennelmate. It is recommended that a hound not be Pre Certed until it has run 2-3 times by itself around a full course without stopping!!! There is a $4 per car gate fee each day for the Dog Park.
