Opportunity drawing to take place during the Asian Americans Advancing Justice – Los
Angeles’ (“Advancing Justice – LA”) 31st Anniversary Dinner on Thursday, October 23, 2014.
The Grand Prize Winner will receive a 2015 Toyota Prius c, provided by Toyota Motor Sales,
U.S.A., Inc. (the “Grand Prize”). The Second Prize Winner will receive 100,000 AAdvantage
miles which are redeemable for travel awards through American Airlines AAdvantage Travel
Awards Program, provided by American Airlines (the “Second Prize”). The Third Prize Winner
will receive a VIZIO E-Series 40” Class Full-Array LED Smart TV, provided by VIZIO (the
“Third Prize”). Attendance at the 31st Anniversary Dinner is not required to participate in the
opportunity drawing, and winners need not be present to win.
Advancing Justice – LA and the Prize donors reserve the right to add and/or substitute the
items to be awarded as Prizes in the opportunity drawing in their sole discretion. The Prizes are
not redeemable for cash, are non-transferable and cannot be substituted. The winner of any
Prize shall be solely responsible for all taxes, license, title, registration, costs, fees, surcharges,
payments and other amounts arising from or in connection with the winning or acceptance of
such Prize, all of which must be paid according to Prize donors’ rules, and such payment is a
condition precedent to the delivery of the Prize. By way of example only and without limiting
the generality of the foregoing, current IRS regulations require the winner of a noncash prize
valued at over $5,000 in any opportunity drawing to pay the sponsoring organization of the
opportunity drawing 25% of the fair market value of the prize minus the amount paid for the
opportunity drawing ticket, which must be reported and paid to the IRS by the sponsoring
organization to satisfy the withholding tax obligation. For any Prize valued at $600 or more, the
Prize Winner will receive an IRS Form W-2G reflecting the fair market value of the Prize. Each
winner also agrees to execute and, if applicable, have notarized any and all agreements, forms,
affidavits, releases and other documents, each in a form specified by Advancing Justice – LA,
and, in the case of the Grand Prize Winner, provide a copy of his or her valid driver’s license.
If a winner fails to pay any taxes, costs, fees, payments or other amounts or complete any
agreement, form, affidavit, release or other document in full, or otherwise fails to satisfy any
requirement or condition for the awarding of his or her Prize, as required by Advancing Justice
– LA in its sole discretion within the time period set by Advancing Justice – LA, such winner
shall be deemed to have declined his or her respective Prize and Advancing Justice – LA shall
be authorized to award, and such winner consents to the awarding of, the Prize to another
opportunity drawing participant in the sole discretion of Advancing Justice – LA.
The Grand Prize Winner must take title to the vehicle. The Grand Prize shall only be delivered
at Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc.’s principal place of business in Torrance, California, or at
an authorized Toyota dealership. The Grand Prize Winner must personally retrieve the vehicle
within 14 days of written notification of delivery and present adequate personal identification
and evidence of legally required insurance. Delivery of the Grand Prize will be based on first
availability and release of the 2015 model. The Grand Prize Winner will bear all risk of loss or
damage to the vehicle after delivery to the specified delivery site. Neither Toyota Motor Sales,
U.S.A., Inc. nor Advancing Justice – LA will be responsible for delays in the delivery of the
Grand Prize, and delivery could take up to three months or more and is subject to availability.
The depiction of the Grand Prize in any promotional material may not reflect the actual vehicle
delivered to the Grand Prize Winner.
The Second Prize Winner will receive AAdvantage mileage certificates issued by American
Airlines that are redeemable for 100,000 AAdvantage miles, which can be used to book travel
awards through American Airlines’ AAdvantage Travel Awards Program. Free enrollment in
the AAdvantage Travel Awards Program is required. AAdvantage mileage certificates and the
