I disagree. Personhood implies sentience - Brennan's actions are not those of
someone able to both consider their own thoughts and model the reactions of

She's a lesbian, which means she is both female (oppressed by sex, see:
Patriarchy, misogyny) and gay (see: homophobia).
As a radical feminist, she does not view trans women as female. She
does not buy into the idea that trans women are somehow an oppressed
class that is more oppressed than born female women. They don't pass,
and suffer discrimination on that basis (discrimination which is actually a
combination of regular misogyny and homophobia), but that is a
voluntary choice they made. Additionally, she will point out that most of
the trans people murdered are murdered by men, not by women.
Regardless of how anyone feels about the argument or what side you fall
on, that's basically where the disagreement is rooted.

I find it really seriously annoying when people act like lesbians are
the most oppressed delicate little damsels on the earth because
they're women AND gay! It doesn't work like that. Set aside the
debate about whether or not women really are oppressed in our
society, it doesn't just have a compounding effect. Men have always
been discriminated against more for being gay than women have.
And lesbians didn't have to deal with the whole AIDS thing in the last
few decades nearly as much as gay men (or even hetero people).
Gay men are the ones who suffered the most through one of the
worst pandemics and were subjected to delayed treatments and
increased homophobia as a response.
Seriously, how many people have you met who say "I hate girly fags
but lesbians are alright"? I've lost count. So don't tell me lesbians are
the most oppressed.*
* Not that they have it easy, of course.

some sense (e.g. internal testes instead of ova, XY instead of XX), do you think
they'd react by keeping to their current line? Would they immediately react to this

Cathy Brannan is/was in the UK? If i had noticed earlier, i would have written to the home

That article is complete shit. The author is clearly not being serious at reporting or
incredibly ignorant. He kept mentioning that the place names were spelled wrong, ie
"centre" and not "center" Even though it's correct in the UK.

I'm not one to ban people from social places however in Brennan's case she isn't just a
person with awful views she is a person with such awful views that she is an active danger
to others.
I heard (and now read) that she likes to out trans people at their work and school and so
letting her into the club on a night when there was an expectation that there would be trans
people is like letting Nick Griffin into a Hip-Hop/Grim club during Black History Month.
