The Y’s “AFTER THE BELL” Child Care Program will ensure a safe atmosphere for youth in preschool and

The Y provides licensed services in all 5 Elementary Schools. During our fun-filled day participants enjoy a
nutritious snack along with homework assistance and energetic activities.

We provide safe and quality care to children in the Perth
Amboy community. Our morning program establishes an
environment where children begin their school day in a
positive way. Parents bring their children to the Y's

SPORTS BUGS
Ages 3-5
An introduction to Sports Movement. The purpose of
Sports Bugs is to help build your child’s motor skills, hand
eye coordination by playing various sports and fitness
activities that will help them become more physically
coordinated while introducing them to the sports
movement and sports culture. Sports include Tee ball,
Soccer, Basketball and other age appropriate sports.
Games will be modified to suit child’s age as well as
athletic and physical ability.

Designed to introduce children to T-Ball. Little Sluggers

This class focuses on building a strong foundation of
developing a strong mind, body and spirit along with the

Teachers show participants how to do moves from dance,
martial arts and yoga. It includes great music and games

The Families Fit Together Program provides counseling
services and groups for Middle School youth and their
families. The group sessions follow the Strengthening
Families Program model to offer support for families. Our
goal is to assist our youth and parents with a
comprehensive support network and skills. As we strive
to help promote positive behavior and develop positive

Cross Fitness Training is a challenging yet rewarding

distinctive in its focus on maximizing neuroendocrine
response, developing power, cross-training with multiple
training modalities, and constant training and practice

At the Y, sports and recreational activities are something
special. Friendly competition (even with yourself), lots of
variety and a supportive environment mean team sports
and recreation is fun again, and it makes for a healthier
lifestyle and a good story or two. Whether you miss
“suiting up” or are new to team sports, the Y’s sports
leagues provide a perfect opportunity to be active, social
and reconnect or start fresh with a sport you love. We
offer “open” recreational time in the gymnasium to all

This class introduces water in a fun way to infants, toddlers
and their parents.
Children learn basic arm and leg
movements while singing songs and playing games. Parents

pool to acquaint them with the water environment. An
instructor provides guidance in how to help your child
develop coordination, motor skills, balance and social skills in
the water. A swim diaper is required if your child is not toilet
trained.

water experience. The emphasis is on basic swimming skills,

turns.

freestyle, backstroke, breast stroke, and 25yds of butterfly. In this
level, swimmers will be introduced to flip turns and open turns.

The Y offers adaptive lessons modified for individuals with
special needs. Program curriculum will include water entry and

try-out for RBAY’s Tsunami Swim Team. (Need proof of
