Scholarship Fund
Penn State’s engineering program is one of the most comprehensive in the country, emphasizing
technical expertise combined with leadership, teamwork, and communication skills. Our mission is to
educate World‐Class Engineers who are:



Aware of the world and effective in teams
Solidly grounded in fundamentals and technically broad in thinking
Innovative and successful leaders
The Engineering Alumni Society is committed to keeping this world‐class engineering education
accessible for future generations of students, but that is becoming increasingly challenging. Today’s
Penn State students graduate with an average debt of more than $33,000. To help ease this financial
burden and support academically qualified students, the Engineering Alumni Society has established the
Penn State Engineering Alumni Society Endowed Scholarship, which provides scholarship support to
engineering students who demonstrate promise of academic success. A first preference is given to first
semester freshmen students providing them with a vote of confidence in their academic ability from our
alumni.
If you would like to support the scholarship fund or have questions about supporting the fund with a gift
or estate plan, please contact Mark Sharer, Director of Development, at 814‐865‐0173 or
[email protected].
Make a gift today! Simply fill out the form below, and pay with cash, check, or credit card or make your
gift online: www.GiveNow.psu.edu/EngineeringAlumniSocietyScholarship.

Join the Penn State Engineering Alumni Society
The Penn State Engineering Alumni Society (PSEAS), the only all‐alumni advisory body in the College
of Engineering, is one of the oldest constituent societies at Penn State University. Founded in 1959,
the Society has a rich tradition of alumni involvement with the College. The mission of the society is
to connect engineering alumni to the college, to one another and to provide valued programs that
further the college’s mission of teaching, research and service.
Alumni who graduated from the College of Engineering become members of the Engineering Alumni
Society automatically by joining the Penn State Alumni Association.
Joining as a life member of the Penn State Alumni Association will benefit the Engineering Alumni
Society.
Here is how you can help:
1.
2.
3.
4.
Go to the Penn State Alumni Association Membership Application at www.alumni.psu.edu.
Under the Choose Membership Type, select Life.
Under the new options, select Alumni Society.
