In this first session, you will have an opportunity to get an overview of the technologies, products and
services offered from each one of the technology suppliers that have a kiosk at the Conference. The
technologies will cover a wide range of topics from robotics, automation, haptic controls, artificial vision,
remote controls, simulators, sensors and system integrators. As well, you will have a first opportunity
to visit the scientific posters, all directly related to some technology application of possible relevance
to forest machines. Throughout the Conference, and especially during the meal and health breaks,
attendees will have the opportunity to spend additional time with the exhibitors and poster presenters.

During the two lunch breaks and the Conference dinner, we will invite guest speaker including a federal
minister from one of Canada’s economic portfolios.
Ideation working groups – machine of the future
(Opera Salon A)
In this optional session on April 23rd, attendees will have an opportunity to discuss in small working groups
(8-10 people) about developments for the “Machine of the future”. Each group will have a facilitator, and a
reporter to present the key findings at the final plenary session.

Final plenary session & wrap-up

During this final session, the innovative concepts discussed in the previous session will be presented to
the attendees. Opportunities for future collaborative R&D projects will be outlined.
