Jacob Sharpe, 31, told officers he had been working at a haunted house. Officers found methamphetamine in cigarette containers in his car. Sharpe is charged with possession of methamphetamine and tail light requirement. ♦ CHEROKEE SHOOT 'EM UP Four people were arrested by the Cherokee Co. Sheriff's Office after a shooting Friday night at Gregory Lane apartments. Four people came to the apartment of Seth Mayeaux, 17, Acworth, with the intent to rob him. The suspects are: Charles Williams, 27, Woodstock, Jermes Stewart, 20, Marietta, Indida Birto, 28, Acworth, and Haleigh Mull, 18, Atlanta. Mayeaux had no drugs and intended on stealing the money the individuals were bringing for the drugs. Two unidentified acquaintances of Mayeaux, one who was armed hid in the bushes as Mayeaux and the suspects met. When Mayeaux started speaking to Stewart and Williams they started hitting Mayeaux with guns. The two unidentified men hiding in the bushes stepped out and started firing at Williams and Stewart who returned fire and fled. Stewart was shot in the buttocks and one of their tires was also shot. The tire blew on I-75 as they were driving to the hospital. Stewart was treated and released. All four are charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and other charges. More than 100 students were tested after a student was suspected of having tuberculosis. ♦ Former NBA All Start Daron "Mookie" Blaylock, 47, was sent to prison Monday for killing a woman in a head on crash on Tara Blvd. The former Atlanta Hawk was sentenced to 15 years with only 3 years to serve in prison for vehicular homicide and other charges for the death of Monica Murphy, a mother of five. ♦ According to the AAA the nationwide average gas price per gallon of gas is $3.04 per gallon, the lowest since 2010. South Carolina has the cheapest prices in the nation at $2.75 per gallon. Tennessee has the second lowest at $2.81 per gallon. ♦ Disposables, Inc. is recalling baby wipes sold at: Walgreens, Family Dollar, Sam's Club and internet retailer Diapers.com.
