Lystimbitto Fun Pass for Families 2015, Rauma
This summer in Rauma, by showing the Lystimbitto Fun Pass you can have great fun at a low cost
with the whole family. The pass is valid from 1 June to 31 August 2015; details are subject to
change. Come and get your own pass from Rauma Tourist Information (Valtakatu 2)!
1 Hauskis indoor play area
– Something fun to do whether it rains or shines!
At Hauskis indoor play area, there are all kinds of fun things to do for children and families; climbing frames,
a bouncy castle, ball pools, climbing walls, and slides. The café serves salty and sweet treats.

2 Tammela – Old Rauma Renovation Centre
While children participate in a treasure hunt to help Henri the mouse to find his great-grandfather’s treasure
chest, parents can familiarise themselves with UNESCO World Heritage site Old Rauma, and traditional
renovation methods of timber buildings.

4 Rauma Art Museum – Can you roll silver, Miss Minkkinen?
Did you know that jewellery can be made of paper? Have you ever seen an apple made out of copper?

5 Rauma Museum – Experience three museums in Old Rauma
Old Town Hall, ship owner’s home Marela and home of seafarers and craftsmen Kirsti are located at the
heart of Old Rauma and they have many interesting things to see and experience. The Old Town Hall has an
exhibition about history of toys and also a play corner for small children.

6 Rauma Maritime Museum
– History, culture and great experiences for the whole family
Have a peek into a sailor’s chest, sew sails or design your own ship. In most museums, touching is not
allowed, but at Rauma Maritime Museum, you can play and touch artefacts that are marked with signs
“Please, touch!” (in Finnish “Koske tähän”). Sail to faraway harbours in the navigation simulator Jenny and
throw yourself into the fascinating world of seafaring in the time of sailing ships. With the help of the Guide
Compass mobile guides, you can learn interesting facts about the museum’s items, photographs, drawings
and films – also in English!

12 Church of the Holy Cross
The Church of the Holy Cross is over 500 years old and full of fascinating details. When in Rauma, a visit to
th
the church is a must! The oldest items, such as the retable, date back to the 15 century, whereas the
Veisaaja (Hymn Singer) statue by a local artist Kerttu Horila represents modern church art. Families can
explore the church through photo orienteering; ask the church guide for the booklet.
Children’s cathedral
The armoury of the Church of the Holy Cross is dedicated to children. In the children’s cathedral, you can
learn about the stories of the Bible, play and have a little rest during the opening hours of the church.
The church and the children’s cathedral can be visited free of charge.

Kake the City Train
Hop on Kake the City Train and explore the city in a fun and relaxing way! 22 June – 2 August, the city train runs daily.

Kipparinpuisto Playground and Children’s Traffic Park
Take the whole family along and enjoy your day outdoors in our recently renovated parks! In the Traffic Park, children
can ride bikes, kick-scooters, pedal cars and Lokari mini cars. To keep the traffic flowing smoothly, the park’s instructors
guide young drivers in the use of the vehicles and in safe traffic behaviour. Right next to the Traffic Park, Kipparinpuisto
playground is open from dawn to dusk.
Cycling and pedal cars can be used free of charge.
