Jr. Midgets
The Folsom Jr. Bulldog Jr. Midgets won their 5th consecutive game of the season beating the Whitney Jr. Wildcats
43-14. After stopping the Jr. Wildcats on their opening possession, the Jr. Bulldogs wasted no time as Cole
Tremain ran 35 yards for his first of two touchdowns on the day. Tremain would also score in the first half as he
intercepted a Wildcat pass at midfield and returned it for a touchdown. On the Jr. Bulldogs next possession,
Mathew Simon would run it in the end zone from 25 yards away to increase the lead to 14-0. Brady Huddlestun
would add another rushing touchdown as he would cross the goal line from 1 yard out and Jayden Meneghetti

Pee Wee
Pee Wee's get on track with a 29-6 victory over Whitney Wildcats.
The Bulldog offense woke up in the second half scoring three times, moving down the field with a combination of passing and
inside and outside runs. Great blocking up front all day by Dylan Wolger, Kevin Erickson, Ian Fillian, Jake Kelley, and Jacob
Huntington led to huge holes for the running backs. Logan Siller started the scoring with a 1 yard plunge in the second
quarter. In the beginning of the third quarter the offense marched down the field capped off by an 8 yard run by Cheyne
Gitsham. The next possession Gitsham broke multiple tackles to scamper 54 yards, giving the bulldogs a 21-0 lead. The
running of Christian Fiori set up a 15 yard touchdown run by Mitchell Anderson. A mistake by the offense early in the fourth
cost the Bulldogs a shutout on the scoreboard, however, the defense led on this day by SAXton Brown, who had multiple sacks
and the hard hitting of Tyler Dukes, along with sacks by Lucas Jorge and Jake Melander held the Whitney offense to no points
Jr. Pee Wee
The Folsom JPW’s beat the Whitney 20-0 on Saturday to go 4-1 on the season and record their fourth defensive
shutout of the year. Outstanding defensive plays by Evan Traynellis-Howell, Jacob Viega, Caden Bienvenue,
Austin McMillan, and Carter Martinelli dominated the Wildcats offense all day. The Bulldog offense struggled
early on but got going in the 2nd half scoring two touchdowns. Great blocking upfront by Tony Couch, Oshay
Gardner, Cavin McCord, Kaden Knapp, and Kole Simon set up long touchdown runs by Austin McMillan and
Tyler Tremain. Tyler Tremain also connected with Austin McMillan on key 4th down play for a 30 yard TD pass.
Mighty Mite
The Mighty Mites defeated Whitney 12-6 on Saturday. The Jr Bulldogs started off the game on offense,
with Luke Carte, Joshua Dennison, August Dupree, Maxwell Foster, Logan Hutton, Jayden Jackson,
Tariq Lofton, Trey Lofton, Joseph Pelka, Richard Semenza and Carson Ward all working together to
move the ball down the field. At the half, the Jr. Bulldogs had a 6-0 lead behind a touchdown from
Connor Campbell. Defensively, the Jr Bulldogs were able to contain the passing game of the Jr Wildcats
with Aric Anderson, Connor Campbell, Chase Digorno, Maxwell Ellison, Logan Hutton, Landon Jorge,
Isaiah Langhan, Austin Mallett, Tyce McIntyre, Ikechukwu Okoye, and Landon Senico all contributing
to stopping the Jr Wildcat offense. The Mighty Mites are looking to keep their streak going against Del
Oro next Saturday.

President Candidates

Candidate Statement of Hector
Alvarez for President
Board, Folsom Jr. Bulldog families,
I’m announcing my formal candidacy for President of the Folsom Jr. Bulldog organization. Our family has been active part
of this wonderful organization since 2009 when our son started his Pee Wee year, he is now a sophomore and our
daughter is in her final midget year as a cheerleader. Our time in the bulldog organization has been fantastic,
championships and losses, cheer bows and bruises. Through it all we have always considered the bulldogs an extension
of our family.
I feel I can help continue the traditions of friendship, championships and personal growth for the young men and women
that make up the Folsom Jr Bulldogs. I have held several roles in our organization; from a parent counting every play to
make sure our son made PAR, assistant cheer coach (yup, you read that right), volunteer medic, security and for the last
two years I have served as the Assistant to the President.
I am a local business owner and have over 17 years’ experience working in leadership roles for non-profit organizations. I
believe this is extremely important as we need to continue to take care of business behind the scenes, just as much as we
do on the fields and sidelines.
My election platform – It’s all about the kids!
Respectfully,
Hector Alvarez

VP of Football Candidates

Candidate Statement of Corey
Gaide for VP of Football
My name is Corey Gaide and I am running for VP of Football. I am currently the VP of Football and was the assistant VP last
season. I have been involved with the Jr. Bulldogs for 20 years without a child in the program. During those 20 years, I have
been the VP for 9 years. I have been a head coach for 16 years and an assistant for 4 as well. During my previous tenure as
the VP, I was involved in helping raise the funds to get the turf on Livermore Park, ensure that the football players had the
best available equipment while not raising registration fees and closing the gap between Folsom High School and the Jr.
Bulldog program, thus helping create the great Bulldog football culture we have here in Folsom. During that time, the
Folsom Jr. Bulldogs were named the number 1 youth Football program in the state of California. My passion and care for
the program and children involved is second to none. I enjoy being out on the field interacting with all parents, coaches
and players. I spend numerous hours before and after my practice helping the other coaches and players with equipment
or any other needs that they may have. On Saturdays, there is no other place that I would rather be than on the field. I
spend 10-12 hours of my Saturday, watching the young athletes compete and most importantly….have fun! As the VP, I
take my job very seriously. I am willing to listen to parents, coaches and players if issues arise and try to resolve them to
the best of my ability. If experience and passion are what you are looking for in the VP of Football, then be sure to vote for
Corey Gaide on Election Day.

Treasurer Candidates

Candidate Statement of Blaine
Nickens for Treasurer
The Folsom Junior Bulldogs organization has given our family so much over the three years we have been members. Andrew
walked-on the PeeWees, was known as the Honey Badger and Toast; now on the freshman team he’s a Toaster. Jenessa has
blessed with so much love from her coaches starting at Mighty Mite, into Junior PeeWee and now PeeWee: she is doing great
and digging it more each year! Thank you to all those coaches that made it happen for all our kids! These are gifts of time and
talent from all the instructors, coaches, directors, officers, and the families do their shifts – we are the Foundation of the
Bulldog Nation!
Our family appreciates those contributions. Now I feel it is time to step-up my contribution beyond working my volunteer
shifts. Here is part of the background I bring to this position:
California Dept. of Fish and Wildlife: Five years as Branch Chief of the Grants Management Branch with oversight of 10 staff
responsible for managing over 80 federal grants in excess of $70 Million. Also served nine years as the fiscal and management
analyst for the North Central Regional headquarters.
California Office of the Attorney General – Dept. of Justice: Nine years as an Investigative Auditor and Legal Analyst for the
White Collar Crimes and Financial Crimes units. Performed forensic financial and documentary investigations in the
prosecution of complex multi-agency, multi-jurisdictional fraud cases.
Just Kids Child Care Center: Founding board member and five years as President of the non-profit corporation composed of
Office of the Attorney General employees. Responsible for consultation and coordination with state and private entities for the
construction of the 3000 sf child care center and selection and oversight of the child care provider for the 63 infants and
preschoolers. Ensured that program, fiscal, and reporting requirements were met.
Other volunteer work: Scouting - 14 years with Pack 134, Troop and Crew 94 in a variety of leadership positions (active with
Girl Scouts too); Folsom National Little League - 6 years as a coach and manager; Folsom Youth Basketball Association - 7 years
as a coach and division coordinator; and 25+ years as a California Hunter Education Instructor.
I’m ready to get to work! Please feel free to chat with me in the stands or working the BBQ!
