SOUTH QUEENSLAND WELCOME TO SOUTH QUEENSLAND CAMP 2014 Guests from beyond South Queensland I would like to extend a warm welcome to all who are attending Big Camp 2014. ADRA Australia Mr Michael Ussi Mr Mark Webster Chief Executive Officer Adventist Media Network Mr Matthew Brown Ms Patricia Gonvalves Mr Shane Winfield Pr John Gate Mr Paul Kochaniski Mr Lee Dunstan Australian Union Conference Pr Ken Vogel General Secretary Pr Grenville Kent “Big Questions” Project CAMP PROGRAM 2014 Pr Jorge Muñoz President Pr Colin Renfrew General Secretary Avondale College Ms Kayla Wolf Sanitarium Ms Julie Praestiin Last year our emphasis was on the invitation extended to all followers to grow together in Jesus, but this year we are looking at how we as individual members of Christ’s church can be Seeking, Sowing and Serving the good news of a crucified, risen and soon to return saviour, into the lives of those who live around us. Each component involves intentionality. Healthy churches are made up of individuals who are on the lookout for opportunities to connect with others, and who are looking for ways and means to make friends and extend their circle of influence. Once the bridge of friendship is established it takes further intentionality to sow appropriate gospel seeds into their lives such as a listening ear, a kind word, a bible promise, a personal testimony, some reading material or a DVD. Similarly, serving you family, neighbours, and work colleagues also takes intentional time and planning. And yet, if we are open and available to God at all times, he will bring people to us, and in the natural course of our conversation we will sow the eternal good news of Jesus Christ as we are impressed by the Holy Spirit. It is my hope and prayer that you may be blessed, inspired and challenged so that when you return to your local churches, you can Seek, Sow and Serve those around Pastor Jorge Muñoz—President Corporate Communications Manager South Pacific Division Mr Rodney Brady Chief Financial Officer Dr Branimir Schubert Leadership and Personal Development Mr Scott Hopkins Please note that the first meeting is opening Sabbath worship for all the family in the Big Tent at 5:30 pm, Friday, September 19.
