Free Training on the WaytogoRI ILP from RIHEAA RIHEAA is excited to announce that enhancements have been made to the ILP on WaytogoRI. You are invited to attend a free Half-Day Workshop to learn about the new features, including resources to start using the customized ILP at your school. You may register for any half day session, or, both half day sessions offered on the same day, or if you prefer, half day sessions offered on different days. Location: Alan Shawn Feinstein Middle School, 15 Foster Drive, Coventry, RI 02816. Parking: Rice Field-Across the street from the school and next to Rick & Dee's Breakfast Restaurant. Lunch: Lunch will not be provided. Workshop Descriptions: ILP 101: Beginner Session. Topics include how to: create student and professional accounts, batch create student accounts, navigate WaytogoRI, how to use selected features on the Student Center and on the Professional Center and how to locate the ILP on WaytogoRI. ILP 102: Using Reports. Prerequisite: Must be able to perform the skills taught in ILP 101. Topics include how to: run ILP Tracking reports that tell what percent of your students have completed the ILP and which ones they are, run reports that tell you which of your students completed an ILP activity and which have not, and how to use report data to make decisions about the progress of my ILP program. ILP 103: Customizing the ILP on WaytogoRI at Your school. Prerequisite: Must be able to perform the skills taught in ILP 101. Topics include how to: move your school’s ILP from a paper version to the electronic ILP on WaytogoRI (if you currently use a paper ILP), and how to customize the ILP on WaytogoRI (if you have been using the ILP on WaytogoRI before this school year). ILP 104: ILP Implementation Strategies. Prerequisite: Must be able to perform the skills taught in ILP 101 and 102. Also, your school must have an ILP on WaytogoRI. Topics include: The types of implementation strategies used by educators in Rhode Island and elsewhere, the pros and cons of each implementation strategy plus ways to surmount the challenges faced with each strategy, and how other educators in Rhode Island are implementing the ILP at their school. ILP 105: Creating and using existing lesson plans for ILP activities. Prerequisite: Must be able to perform the skills taught in ILP 101. Also, your school must have an ILP on WaytogoRI. Topics session include how to: locate and use the lesson plans on WaytogoRI, and create lesson plans for the activities on the ILP. ILP 106: Designing your school’s ILP program for the year. Prerequisite: Must be able to perform the skills taught in ILP 101. Also, your school must have an ILP on WaytogoRI. Topics include how to: select activities that can be completed in a single period and those that can be completed with other activities in a period, identify activities that can be completed as homework, or, in selected coursework where support for that exists, and plan a schedule for the year that will permit all students to complete their assigned ILPs.
