Senior US officials said Friday that a request by Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon to meet with Vice
President Joe Biden, Secretary of State John Kerry and National Security Adviser Susan Rice, was
denied by the Obama administration.
According to a report in Ynet, the officials said the administration was settling scores with Ya’alon for
statements he made in January in which he called Kerry “obsessive” and “messianic” about IsraeliPalestinian peace talks, which came to an abrupt halt in April.
Not wanting to harm defense ties with Israel, Ya’alon’s meeting with Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel
was allowed to proceed as planned, according to the officials cited in the report.
Ya’alon met with Hagel on Tuesday, during which the defense minister said he voiced Israel’s
concerns about the direction of talks between the P5+1 world powers and Iran on its nuclear program.
The two also spoke about the conflicts in Iraq and Syria.
Before his trip, Ya’alon sought to smooth over a war of words between some US and Israeli officials
that erupted last week when Israeli ministers attacked Kerry for misinterpreted remarks linking the rise
of extremist Islam to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Kerry spoke at an event marking the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha at the State Department, where he
said it was “imperative” to restart stalled Israeli-Palestinian talks, since the conflict was helping the
Islamic State recruit new members.
Economy Minister Naftali Bennett, in turn, indicated Kerry was using an anti-Semitic canard, while
Communications Minister Gilad Erdan said the secretary showed very little understanding of the
region.

Well, we told you so and now it’s confirmed. We’d really love to know who came up with this “recent convert”
nonsense reported far and wide in the wake of the terror attack in Canada.
The gunman was born Michael Joseph Paul Abdallah Bulgasem Zehaf Bibeau on Oct. 16, 1982, in
Montreal, to Ms. Bibeau and Bulgasem Zehaf, a businessman of Libyan descent. In his school years,
friends knew him as Mike Bibeau.
With a name like that you might have issues, too.
Mr. Zehaf-Bibeau attended a strict, private, French-language high school called Collège Laval, where
students wore jackets and ties and could be penalized for swearing or having an untucked shirt. He
was a well-liked classmate known for his ready smile and his skill with a Ping-Pong paddle. “He was
part of our little ‘immigrant’ gang,” recalled classmate Vito Garofalo, who lost touch with him after high
school. “He was a good kid and he was funny. He just fit in.”
He was also a fairly large boy who didn’t hesitate to look after himself. “He was a strong boy,” said Mr.
Garofalo. “He had the capacity to pick up anybody if he wanted to. But he wasn’t a troublemaker.”
In those days, few students knew about his Libyan background, and one former classmate said
everyone thought he was Italian. Mr. Zehaf-Bibeau switched to a public school in Laval in his fourth
year.
“He likes to laugh and his smile drives girls crazy. He’ll go far in life. He’ll surely be a businessman in
the near future,” the inscription in his graduation yearbook read.
Surprised he wasn’t an aspiring rapper. Meanwhile:
“The accused … wants to be in jail as he believes this is the only way he can overcome his addiction
to crack cocaine,” the mental status report states. “He has been a devoted Muslim for seven years
and he believes he must spend time in jail as a sacrifice to pay for his mistakes in the past and he
hopes to be a better man when he is eventually released.” The report concluded: “I am unable to find
any features or signs of mental illness.” He got credit for time served and did one more day in jail.

Putin accuses United States of damaging world order

LAURA Russia (Reuters) - Russian President Vladimir Putin accused the United States on Friday of endangering
global security by imposing a "unilateral diktat" on the rest of the world and shifted blame for the Ukraine crisis onto
the West.
In a 40-minute diatribe against the West that was reminiscent of the Cold War and underlined the depth of the rift
between Moscow and the West, Putin also denied trying to rebuild the Soviet empire at the expense of Russia's
neighbors.
"We did not start this," Putin told an informal group of experts on Russia that includes many Western specialists
critical of him, warning that Washington was trying to "remake the whole world" based on its own interests.
"Statements that Russia is trying to reinstate some sort of empire, that it is encroaching on the sovereignty of its
neighbors, are groundless," the former KGB spy declared in a speech delivered standing at a podium, without a
smile, in a ski resort in mountains above the Black Sea city of Sochi.
Listing a series of conflicts in which he faulted U.S. actions, including Libya, Syria and Iraq, Putin asked whether
Washington's policies had strengthened peace and democracy.
"No," he declared. "The unilateral diktat and the imposing of schemes (on others) have exactly the opposite effect."
Putin, 62, has stepped up anti-Western rhetoric since returning to the Kremlin as president in 2012, helping push up
his popularity ratings since the annexation of Crimea from Ukraine in March.

Even so, the speech was one of the most hostile Putin has
delivered against the West and it appeared partly intended to
show Russian voters he will stand up to the rest of the world and
defend their interests.
The criticisms of a world order dominated by Washington, more
than two decades after the Cold War, recalled a 2007 speech in
Munich in which Putin shocked the West by lambasting
Washington's "unipolar" world view. The speech prompted many
Western leaders to reassess their view of Putin.
SHIFTING THE BLAME
The annual meetings of what is known as the Valdai Club have rarely featured such open, direct and tough language
in their debates on Russian policy.
Critics say the meetings have become a showcase for Kremlin policy, with the session attended by Putin shown live
on state television and little discussion of Russia's record on human rights and democracy, which is criticized in the
West.
Putin rejected criticism over the Ukraine crisis, in which Moscow has sided with pro-Russian separatists in eastern
Ukraine, and threw the West's criticisms of Moscow back in its face.
Repeating accusations that Western governments helped pro-Western groups stage a coup d'etat that ousted a proMoscow president in Kiev in February, Putin said: "No one wanted to listen to us and no one wanted to talk to us."
"Instead of a difficult but, I underline, civilized dialogue they brought about a state coup. They pushed the country
into chaos, economic and social collapse, and civil war with huge losses," he said.
Dismissing U.S. and European Union sanctions imposed on Moscow as a mistake, he said: "Russia will not be
posturing, get offended, ask someone for anything. Russia is self-sufficient."
He made only passing references to the decline of Russia's $2 trillion economy, which is in danger of sliding into
recession as its currency tumbles along with the price of oil, its main export item.
But he said in a question and answer session after his speech that Russia would not burn though its gold and foreign
currency reserves thoughtlessly to prop up the economy.
Putin has increasingly sought to shift blame for the economic crisis onto global problems, the sanctions and the oil
price. He and other Russian officials, including Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, have also used increasingly tough
language to blame the West for the Ukraine crisis.
A ceasefire has been in force in Ukraine since Sept. 5, but it has been violated daily and the West says Moscow
continues to have troops and weapons in east Ukraine. Russia denies this.

Russian military provocations have increased so much over the seven months since Moscow annexed Crimea from
Ukraine that Washington and its allies are scrambling defense assets on a nearly daily basis in response to air, sea
and land incursions by Vladimir Putin’s forces.
Not only is Moscow continuing to foment unrest in Eastern Ukraine, U.S. officials and regional security experts say
Russian fighter jets are testing U.S. reaction times over Alaska and Japan’s ability to scramble planes over its
northern islands — all while haunting Sweden’s navy and antagonizing Estonia’s tiny national security force.
The White House months ago leveled economic sanctions on several Russian businesses and political players, and
recent weeks have seen President Obama intensify his rhetoric toward Moscow. But many in Washington’s national
security community say the response is simply not firm enough and that, as a result, Mr. Putin actually feels
emboldened to push the envelope — Cold War-style.
“What’s going on is a radical escalation of aggressive Russian muscle flexing and posturing designed to demonstrate
that Russia is no longer a defeated power of the Cold War era,” says Ariel Cohen, who heads the Center for Energy,
National Resources and Geopolitics at the Institute for the Analysis of Global Security in Washington.
“The more we retreat, the more we are encouraging Russia to behave in a more aggressive way,” Mr. Cohen said.
“We need to be engaging more deeply with our Central Asian allies, but instead we are in the process of abandoning
turf to Russia, and it’s wrong — it’s against our interests geopolitically to let Russia feel that they all of a sudden have
won all the turf without firing a shot.”

The Obama administration resists such characterizations, asserting that
the White House is doing anything but “retreating.”
To the contrary, administration officials say they’re bolstering U.S. support
to NATO and several non-NATO Baltic states specifically to confront Mr.
Putin. They also assert that the current economic downturn inside Russia
— where inflation is reported to have crested to 8 percent in recent weeks
— is driven as much by a dip in global oil prices as by the slate of sanctions leveled by the White House in response
to Russian meddling in Ukraine.
For his own part, Mr. Obama stopped short of directly addressing the uptick in Russian military maneuvering during a
major U.N. speech last month. The president did, however, assert that “Russian aggression in Europe recalls the
days when large nations trampled small ones.”
He also threatened to “impose a cost on Russia for aggression.”
Mr. Obama’s comments were followed this month by the deployment of some 20 M1A1 Abrams battle tanks and
roughly 700 U.S. troops across Poland and three Baltic States — Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia — a move military
officials said was designed to send a message that serious Russian aggression in the area could mean war with
NATO.
But Mr. Putin has appeared undeterred. NATO officials confirmed this week that the Russian air force flew an Ilyushin20 spy plane into Estonian airspace Tuesday, triggering a swift reaction from NATO fighter jets patrolling the area.
The incursion came just days after Sweden made international headlines by scrambling a fleet of naval vessels to
search for a suspected submarine sighted about 30 miles off the coast of Stockholm in the Baltic Sea.
Swedish authorities avoided pinning the incident directly on Russia, and Moscow denied involvement. But regional
analysts like Mr. Cohen say they’d be surprised if the sub was not Russian.
The development, the analysts say, fits within a growing list of similar Russian actions, including some directly
challenging U.S. territory.
The North American Aerospace Defense Command scrambled jets to scare off two Russian strategic bombers that
suddenly appeared to conduct practice runs in airspace just 65 miles off Alaska in June. A similar incident occurred in
September, with U.S. and Canadian fighters scrambling to deter six Russian aircraft, including two nuclear bombers,
two fighter jets and two refueling tankers, according to news reports.

China and India are backing a 21 country $100 billion Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) to challenge to the
World Bank and Asian Development Bank.
Memorandum of understanding were signed with 21 Asian countries in Beijing Friday. Australia, Indonesia and South
Korea were absent following hidden pressure from Washington.
The development bank was proposed a year ago by Chinese President Xi Jinping, and is to offer financing for
infrastructure projects in underdeveloped Asian countries.
Headquartered in Beijing, former chairman of the China International Capital Corp investment bank Jim Liqun, is
expected to take a leading role.
The bank will initially be capitalized with $50 billion, most of it contributed by China. The country is planning to
increase authorized capital to $100 billion. With that amount the AIIB would be two-thirds the size of the $175 billion
Asian Development Bank.
India will be the second largest bank shareholder though Kuwait, Qatar, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Nepal,
Oman, and all the countries of the Association of Southeast Asia, except Indonesia are involved.
Australia, Indonesia and South Korea did not participate following US claims of ‘concerns’ about a rival to Westerndominated multilateral lenders.
Japan, China's main rival in Asia, which dominates the Asian Development Bank along with the United States, did not
attend but had not been expected to do so.
Indonesia refused to participate claiming it needs time to discuss China’s proposal.
The Australian Financial Review said US Secretary of State John Kerry had personally asked Australian Prime
Minister Tony Abbott to “steer clear” from joining AIIB.
"Australia has been under pressure from the US for some time to not become a founding member of the bank and it
is understood Mr. Kerry put the case directly to the prime minister when the pair met in Jakarta on Monday following
the inauguration of Indonesian President Joko Widodo," the paper said.
South Korea, one of America’s closest allies in Asia, is alse prevaricating. Its finance ministry said it spoke with China
to request more time to consider details such as the AIIB's governance and operational principles.
US officials have said they do not want to support an initiative Washington thinks is unlikely to promote good
environmental, procurement and human rights standards in the way the World Bank and ADB are required to do.
But Chinese officials are convinced the American opposition is an attempt to contain the global rise of China and its
ambition to remain the dominant power in Asia.
“You could think of this as a basketball game in which the US wants to set the duration of the game, the size of the
court, the height of the basket and everything else to suit itself,” Wei Jianguo, a former Chinese commerce minister,
told the Financial Times.
Matthew Goodman, scholar at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington DC believes the
initiatives of a BRICS Bank and AIIB “represent the first serious institutional challenge to the global economic order.”
Chinese Finance Minister Lou Jiwei said the AIIB will set high standards, safeguard policies and improve on
bureaucratic, unrealistic and irrelevant policies, according to the Xinhua news agency.

Islam convert shot dead after ax attack on NYPD cops

A hatchet-swinging psycho with Islamic militant leanings turned a busy Queens street corner into a scene of bloody
chaos Thursday, chopping a rookie cop in the back of the head and slicing a second officer on the arm before two
other officers shot him dead.
In opening fire on the madman, cops accidentally wounded a bystander, authorities said.
Officer Kenneth Healey, 25, had just four months on the job when Zale Thompson, 32, of Queens — a “scholarly” but
“weird” recent convert to Islam — fractured the back of the cop’s skull with one swing of a blue-handled hatchet at
about 2 p.m. in Jamaica.
A 29-year-old woman walking a half-block away was struck in the back by a stray police bullet and was in stable
condition, according to police sources.
The NYPD is investigating whether Islamic extremism played a role in the attack, which left the rookie in serious but
stable condition Thursday night.
“Helicopters, big military will be useless on their own soil,” Thompson raged in a private Facebook post, Fox News
reported.
“They will not be able to defeat our people if we use guerilla warfare. Attack their weak flanks,” he added.
“There’s nothing we know at this time that would indicate that [Islamic terrorism] is the case,” Police Commissioner
William Bratton said at a press conference at Jamaica Hospital.
“That’s what the investigation will attempt to determine,” Bratton said as Healey, the son of a 34-year Nassau County
police detective, underwent surgery.
The second injured cop, Officer Joseph Meeker, also a fourmonth rookie, was “conscious and alert” at Jamaica Hospital,
police said.

Video shows Thompson pulling the hatchet from a bag, then
taking a running leap at Healey and his three companions as
they stood together on the rainy sidewalk.
Holding the hatchet in two hands like a baseball bat, he swung
three times, one source who saw the video told The Post.
The first swing broke the one cop’s arm. The second was a
miss. The third struck Healey in the back of the head.
“The cops yelled, ‘Drop it!’ ” recalled eyewitness Larry Bethune,
44, who watched the violence unspool at Jamaica Avenue and
160th Street.
“He raised his arm up high and brought it straight down on the
cop’s head,” the Hollis resident added.

“The cop went down to the ground face-first . . . The cop’s just lying there with blood pouring down his face. He didn’t
move.”
Another witness, Kelli Reddica, 24, recalled hearing seven police bullets ring out as Thompson was taken down —
and seeing the young cop’s horrible head injury.
“He looked like he couldn’t move, and blood was gushing out of his head,” Reddica said of Healey. “Blood just
drenched the side of his face,” she said.
Thompson is being investigated for broader terrorist connections, a law enforcement source said, adding, “There are
suspected terror ties.”
Thompson’s Facebook page includes a passage from the Quran in Arabic script beseeching Allah’s guidance in
finding “the straight path” and a black-and-white photograph of a black-scarved militant.
Thompson was a “very educated” proponent of “black power” and a graduate of the College of New Rochelle in
Harlem, said a classmate who asked not to be identified by name.
“He always spoke positively,” said the classmate, who was unaware of any Islamic leanings.
But former neighbors at Thompson’s address in East New York, Brooklyn, said that in recent months he had become
“weird” and argumentative, fighting with his girlfriend and mother before moving to Jamaica this year.

The police officers were stopped by a “freelance photographer” to take their picture, and so were standing still as a
group on the sidewalk, then Thompson ran up to strike. One would hope that this photographer person was also
checked out by police.
Thompson’s friends on Facebook include black power adherents, members of the Nation of Islam and Black
Panthers, including people who praise Khalid Muhammad, have posted pictures of Ferguson actions, and this

After two terrorist attacks in Canada in a week left two Canadian soldiers dead, ISIS has stepped up its rhetoric
calling for even more radicals to carry out mass murder and mayhem in the country.
An even more horrifying fact is that an estimated 130 Muslim youths in Canada have been seduced and radicalized
by ISIS and have even left Canada behind to join forces with them.
The first attack happened Monday night - a hit-and-run by suspected jihadist Martin Rouleau.

The second strike was carried out by a gunman on Wendesday on Parliament Hill in Ottawa. One of the shooters,
Canadian national Michael Zehaf-Bibeau, was shot dead, reportsInsite Blog.
Ever since Canada announced their involvement in the coalition against ISIS, jihadist supporters have taken to
Twitter to call for 'justice' in the hopes to shake the country’s nerves by instilling fear and terror.
One such Twitter account is that of Abu Khalid Al-Kanadi who has tweeted several calls for attack and commented on
Rouleu's attack on October 21, 2014.
'Muslims in Canada, follow the footsteps of our brave brother Martin Rouleau who took revenge for Canadian military
aggression in our lands,' he wrote.
One day later his account was suspended.
Insite Blog reports that a second jihadist Twitter account posted on October 21 and said that Canada is 'starting to
pay the price of intervention' of the war against ISIS and followed up with a second tweet urging more attacks.

without evn leaving Canada.'
Gaining support: Jihadists are hoping that by posting their opinions on Twitter more youths will join ISIS
On the same user's Ask.fm account a different anonymous user commented on the fact that Rouleau attacked
soldiers and not civilians.
'Rouleau was NOT cowardly...he attacked soldiers, not civilians.'
The writer of the post responded, 'yep..very true.'
Insite Blog adds that on the next day, the same jihadist commented on the shootings by saying, 'Canadian Soldiers
told to leave their uniforms at home when out in public. Now they are like their allies the Iraqi Army.'
A separate allegedly Canadian jihadist took to Twitter to post an article about Rouleau's shooting and wrote it 'was
only a matter of time' ending with '#IS.'
For jihadists on Twitter, the attacks are not against fellow Canadian citizens, rather they believe they are against
soldiers fighting the ISIS movement.

The account of a fighter believed to be in Syria added, 'After Canada decided to Bomb and murder Muslims,
Supposedly just few bullets shook all of #Canada. Expected wasnt it? #Ottawashooting.'
The Twitter account of a Dutch jihadist militant in Syria stated something along the same lines with, 'Bomb innocent
people in Syria/Iraq and you expect roses and hus from Muslims back home? It's called action/reaction. Go figure.'
Another jihadist on Twitter referenced Canada's shock after the attacks and claims they should have 'expected' the
retaliation.
'It's always stunning when a country that has brought violence and military force to numerous countries acts shocked
and bewildered. when someone brings a tiny faction of that violence back to that country. it's not the slightest bit
surprising or difficulty to understand why people who identify with those on the other end of the Canadian bombs. and
bullets would decide to attack the military responsible for that violence.'
The wave of Canadians joining ISIS has fueled citizens, many of them Muslim, to fight against the radicalization of
youth in the country.

One such person is Christianne Boudreau, whose son Damian Clairmont died fighting near the Syrian city of Aleppo

'My knees are shaking so please forgive me. I’m a mother, not a public speaker,' said Boudreau at the OWN IT 2014
conference in Calgary in early October.
The OWN IT conference calls upon Muslim families to come together and fight the radicalization of Muslim youth.
The Star reports that according to the Canadian government there are about 130 jihadist fighters who've left the
country to fight but that the number is growing.
Unfortunately, the Muslim community estimates that the number is already much higher.
With the popularization of Twitter and online forums as tools to express beliefs worldwide, radical youths are able to
lure in other supporters from around the globe.
ISIS uses Twitter to spread propaganda and call for lone wolf attacks.
These attackers are later revered as demigods and used as bait to call other into action.
The Star reports that having declared the Western world full of hypocrites, radicalized youth see themselves as the
chosen ones, turning to online radical imams and charismatic leaders.
Community leaders have coined this jihadist online support movement the 'Sheikh Google' phenomenon.

RADICAL cleric Anjem Choudary sparked fury today by declaring he 'doesn't accept' that
British law is valid in the UK.

The 46-year-old hate preacher made the extraordinary statement when asked if jihadist fighters returning from Syria
should have their passports confiscated and be charged under anti-terror laws.
Choudary blasted: "I don't accept British law. If you have a law, you need to apply it universally. These laws are only
being applied against Muslims.
"This [anti-terror legislation] is purely being hyped-up to support the bombing campaign that is taking place in Iraq
and Syria."
He also spoke of his support for Islamic State (ISIS) and claimed a ban on jihadists returning to Britain would
'alienate' the Muslim community.
He added: "If these guys have actually not committed any crime in England, then why are we stopping them
returning?
"I think it's a very ill thought-out policy, I don't think it will work.
"I think it will disenfranchise the Muslim community here, I think it would be a cause of further radicalisation in this
country."
Choudary has always denied that he has incited or glorified acts of terrorism.

His comments, which were immediately condemned as 'dangerous' by anti-extremist organisations, came in an

in Syria and Iraq when the thing you would wish to impose on those people is the most barbaric and authoritarian
form of government the world has ever have seen.
"The bombing campaign is taking place to try and stop people in those countries being dictated to by Mr Choudary's
friends in ISIS.
"The first victims, in both of these countries, are Muslims.
"They're Muslims of the kind that these people, in this 'perfect Islamic State' think can legitimately be killed. But they
are Muslims."

Anti-extremist campaigner Nick Lowles of the Hope Not Hate charity said: "For over a year, since our own extensive
investigations into Anjem Choudary and his disciples, we've been saying that more must be done to curb this hatesupporting and recruiting organisation."

The preparations are aimed at avoiding a renewed outbreak of violence during the potentially large
demonstrations that could follow an announcement of whether Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson
will face a criminal trial for the Aug. 9 death of Michael Brown.
Police and protesters have repeatedly clashed since the shooting, which prompted a national
conversation about race and police tactics. Images of officers in riot gear and armored vehicles
confronting protesters have drawn widespread criticism.
Many protesters want Darren Wilson indicted for murder. Grand jury proceedings are secret, but legal
analysts say recently leaked information about Wilson’s testimony to investigators may be an attempt
to prepare the public for the possibility that he might not be charged.

Just before midnight on Aug. 19, a longtime local cop named Ray Albers trained his AR-15 semiautomatic rifle on
a protester in Ferguson, Mo., and told him he was about to die. “I will f——- kill you!” video shows the cop yelling at
the protester, who said he had his hands raised. “Get back! Get back!”
When asked his name, Albers, who was suspended and resigned soon afterward, seethed, “Go f— yourself!”
This altercation was one of many disturbing encounters enumerated in an Amnesty International report released
Thursday night that paints a damning portrayal of the Ferguson police force, which it accuses of committing
numerous human rights abuses. The report was deeply skeptical of whether Ferguson cop Darren Wilson was
justified in the killing of unarmed Michael Brown, criticized Missouri law it said violates international standards and
condemned the local police response for shooting tear gas and rubber bullets, intimidating protesters and restricting
residents’ right to peaceful assembly.
“The shooting of Michael Brown has highlighted on a national level the persistent and widespread pattern of racially
discriminatory treatment by law enforcement officers across the United States, including unjustified stops and
searches, ill treatment and excessive, and sometimes lethal, use of force,” found Amnesty International, which
investigates reports of human rights violations in some of the world’s most dangerous locations. Indeed, the report
continued, shortly after Brown was shot six times and killed, another young African American man, Kajieme Powell,
was also shot dead. “Police claims that he was brandishing a knife were not borne out by available video footage of
the shooting.”
The report starts with the Aug. 9 shooting of Michael Brown. Many details of that day are hotly disputed and clouded
by conflicting witness statements, but one fact is beyond dispute: Brown was not armed. Consequently, he was
“unlikely to have presented a serious threat to the life of the police officer,” the report said. “As such, this calls into
question whether the use of lethal force was justified, and the circumstances of the killing must be urgently clarified.”
Tensions flared once again after police released surveillance video on Friday that allegedly shows Michael Brown
robbing a store minutes before he was shot dead by a police officer. The deadly encounter sparked a week of racially

According to international standards, the report said, use of force should be proportionate to the threat encountered,
meaning it is only justified to kill when the objective is to save life. Missouri law, however, disagrees. It holds that cops
can use deadly force if they thinks it’s necessary to “effect the arrest and also reasonably believe that the person to
be arrested has committed or attempted to commit a felony; or is attempting to escape by use of a deadly weapon; or
may otherwise endanger life or inflict serious physical injury unless arrested without delay,” the report said. It called
this “clearly out of line with international standards.”
In the ensuing protests, police acted in a way that violated the rights of residents, according to the report, imposing
curfews and designating protest areas. If protesters didn’t abide such rules, they were arrested, with Amnesty
counting 78 arrests for “refusal to disperse” on Aug. 18.
During protests, police moved “among the protesters using armored vehicles which are more commonly seen in a
conflict zone rather than the streets of a suburban town in the United States,” the authors said. On the night of Aug.
18, they noted, several cops “kept their guns trained on the [Amnesty International] delegation.”
This and other examples of police pointing guns at unarmed protesters appeared to violate the United Nations’ “Basic
Principles for the Use of Force and Firearms by Law Enforcement Officials,” the report said. It described a chilling
scene the night of Aug. 18 when “officers had their guns drawn with no names, badges, other identifying information
visible. Amnesty International requested information from the officers regarding what agency they were from and why
the gas was used but were told, ‘Not right now, please go back down W. Florissant.”
What’s more, the police cracked down on the media, arresting at least 19 journalists between Aug. 13 and Oct. 2, one
of whom was The Washington Post’s own Wesley Lowery.
Two journalists, the report found, were shot in the back with rubber bullets. Then cops approached them, guns
drawn, and arrested them without reading their Miranda rights. “Despite Missouri Highway Patrol Capt. Ron
Johnson’s assurance that night that no journalists were among the arrested … [the two reporters] were not released
until the next morning.”

Brown was unarmed when Wilson encountered him walking in the street with a friend. A scuffle
ensued and Brown was shot multiple times. Witness accounts of what happened varied, with some
people saying they saw Brown raise his hands as if in surrender.

The River City Examiner interviewed Vickers:
“There was black power and black pride…It radicalized us.”
Vickers feels that victories such as this most recent one are fueled by his Muslim faith, a belief he
entered while in law school. “It’s the essence of me. I do the daily prayers, five or more. I’ve made the
pilgrimage to Mecca. This Ramadan will be my 30th.”
Vickers was named the Executive Director of the American Muslim Council and he began working for the rights
of fellow Muslims.
Vickers also admitted on national TV that al-Qaeda is “involved in a resistance movement.”

The supreme arrogance of the Democrats and their irresponsibility is on full display in the Hempstead School District
of Long Island, New York. The Democrat practice of making decisions without properly giving consideration or
deference to the consequences is resulting in chaos on a grand scale for the educators.
Between 700 and 1,100 of Obama’s illegal alien imports were added to the enrollment of the already overtaxed district
for the current year. It is a situation in which the federal government illegally has created a problem and dumped it into
the laps of local residents to deal with.
In some ways an argument could be made that they got what they deserve. This is how Democrats operate and when
you vote them into office, things like this are guaranteed to happen.
A pro-Latino racist activist, Diane Goins, the New York Communities for Change Long Island Chapter President is
sufficiently ignorant to blame the school rather than the federal government who is responsible. In her infinite
ignorance, Goins said, “Now you know. This is the kind of thing they’re doing to the children. I don’t care who these
children are or where they come from. They’re supposed to get an education. That’s the law and now they’ve broken
the law.”
The hypocrisy is mind-numbing. She’s portraying the illegal children as victims of a school district which is “ violating
the law,” when they would be back in their native countries had they not themselves first violated our laws. Their
lawbreaking was followed up by the lawless DHS under Jeh Johnson allowing them to remain. The true victims are
the other students, including those who are American citizens, who now have their already challenged educational
opportunities further diminished by treacherous politicians.
The administrators who have to deal with the mess that the federal government has created are also being victimized.
It is a federally created problem, fully facilitated to include federal transportation into the school district, which they are
now left to sort out using their inadequate facilities and finances.
As usual, the local chapter of the ACLU is sticking their nose into the issue. Jason Starr, the Nassau County Director of
the New York Civil Liberties Union (NYCLU), said, “Many of the students have difficulty even communicating with
school personnel. A lot of parents felt like there weren’t sufficient teachers or staff members who could communicate
with students who only spoke Spanish and parents who only spoke Spanish.”
He added, “The parents have a right to engage in the language they are comfortable with. They felt locked out, as
though there was no one at the district or school level who could adequately communicate with them.
Let’s get this straight. It is the school’s responsibility to offer education and communication in Spanish even though
traditionally and in many areas legally, the official language of our nation is English. He also feels that these people
who have no right to be in our country in the first place and do so in violation of our laws somehow have “a right to
engage in the language they are comfortable with.”
Liberals are never challenged by reality, they simply alter it. They violate the law and then create a supposed “comfort
right” on the fly, as it suits their needs.
In tribute to their racist outlook and approach, the “activists” see the solution to their problems lying not in responsible
government under the law, but in changing the ethnicity of those in power. There is a Latina on the ballot for school
board. If she’s elected, things will surely get better.
Keep thinking that way and keep voting Democrat, New York. Get accustomed to living in ever increasing chaos
because that is your future.

Chicago schools become overcrowded disease factories feeding
children rotten food as district runs out of money
(NaturalNews) A new deal between the Chicago Public School (CPS) system and a private custodial and cafeteria
service was promised to save the district tens of millions but instead resulted in some students having to clean their
own school before the school year began and being served rotten food for lunch.
In February, CPS, the third largest school district in the nation, signed contracts worth $340 million to privatize their
custodial services, an agreement that would take over the training, supervision and management of custodians for 66
Chicago schools, Catalyst Chicago reports.
The concept behind signing the new contracts was that teachers would have more time to teach rather than clean, the
schools would save money, and each facility would have a high standard of cleanliness. However, school officials say
none of these promises materialized, and in fact CPS conditions worsened, putting children at-risk.
Chicago schools agreed to spend $340 million on cleaning services that resulted in a high turnover of custodians,
layoffs and filthier facilities
Two "world class" cleaning services were selected; CPS signed a $260 million contract with Aramark to manage 33
schools and an $80 million contract with SodexMAGIC to handle the remaining 33 facilities.
According to their website, Aramark provides facility management, food service and clothing to schools, sports
facilities, prisons and healthcare institutions, and lists Houston Independent School District, Northwestern University
and Field Museum Campus as past clients.
SodexMAGIC is a partnership between Sodexo, a French food service, and Magic Johnson Enterprises, a company
owned by retired NBA player Magic Johnson.
School officials revealed their frustration regarding poor services and conditions through a survey conducted by
AAPPLE, an arm of the Chicago Principals and Administrators Association.
About 230 principals said the contracts, which were each signed for three years and were supposed to provide
cleaner buildings and use "state-of-the-art" cleaning technology, resulted in a lack of custodians, filthier schools and
no new technology.
"It's a germ factory," said Michael Flynn, a sixth grade teacher at Otis Elementary in Chicago's West Town
neighborhood. "And it's as bad now as it's ever been in terms of kids not getting what they need."
"It breaks my heart," said one Chicago teacher who says many students rely on school lunches for nutrition but
instead are getting "junk for a meal."
Last year, budget cuts forced 49 Chicago schools to close, reported The Huffington Post, and dire attempts to save
money reportedly led to the privatization of both custodial and cafeteria services.
One teacher, who wished to remain anonymous, said her students were fed "disgusting" meals that included rotten
apples and moldy bread on more than one occasion. Some students ate spoiled broccoli before the cafeteria realized
their mistake.
Chicago schools accommodate many low-income students who don't receive proper nutrition at home and rely on
healthy school lunches, the teacher said, who worries that her students will get sick.
Some speculate that the contracts were awarded based on cozy ties between Aramark and the school district. The
district's head of nutritional support services, Leslie Fowler, worked for Aramark before being hired by CPS.
Students, parents and teachers asked to volunteer to clean school before the fall season
The principal of a South Side school recruited volunteers to clean before the school's opening, performing work that
included throwing out trash, mopping and sweeping.
The principal of another school said urine was left in toilets for weeks at the end of the school year and classroom
furniture was recklessly handled and broken. Other teachers say they're running out of toilet paper, seeing more bugs
than ever (including cockroaches) and are overwhelmed by overflowing trash bins.
"I want to be outside the minute I'm in here," said one teacher who's taught for eight years at the facility. "It smells.
Everything smells and I can't focus. If I can't focus to teach, how can kids focus to learn?"
A proposal by AAPPLE says the contracts should be voided if the schools aren't brought up to Level 2 industry
standards for cleanliness.

That means 8-year-old Alyssa Montano
can’t bring her pointed hat and broom to

“What did you think when you found out
you can’t celebrate Halloween at school?”

“It was stupid and weird because they
shouldn’t take it away from other people,”
said Alyssa.
Her mom, Lori, says she was the one to have to break the bad news to her daughter.
“She’s disappointed, very disappointed because she has been doing it all the way up to this year,”
said Lori. “Now they are not doing it this year.”
Parents say they got letters from the principals stating that since not everyone celebrates Halloween,
it should not be celebrated. Lori Montano says it’s taking political correctness too far.
“I think it’s stupid, it’s not fair for the kids and I mean if some people don’t want to participate, then
don’t participate, but they shouldn’t take it away from all the kids,” said Lori.

like being on a roller coaster or some other thrill ride. Yes they sign waivers and are well warned. Ant they know that
once they are in...there in no escape until the tour is completed. That's why (especially with the new haunt), I have to
make sure they can physically handle this little adventure. What you have seen in the past videos is ABSOLUTELY
NOTHING compared to how it is now. Just imagine...only TWO guests take this massive tour at a time. That means
they can expect to be going through stunt after stunt for at least 4 hours. How scary is that...and THEY LOVE IT! I'm
also there every step of the way filming them and making sure they are safe. Safety is alway paramount. It's all a big
mind game. We control everything. What they see, what they hear, what they smell etc. We are the puppet masters
and they gladly come along for this unique one of a kind adventure. We have folks flying in form all around the world
to take the tour. In October we have a couple from England coming all this way to get married and to go through the
haunt. We also have a woman who is such a huge fan that she is spending her vacation just to come and see us.
She's traveling from Kuwait! Those two will be in the movie called "Haunter The Movie" which has been filming for the
last year or so. Soooooo, I hope this explains things a bit. We are just normal folks putting on the scariest and
craziest home haunt anywhere. We do all this for the love of the fans, and because we have so much fun entertaining

CNN’s Carol Costello apologized on Thursday for joking about a police recording of Bristol Palin.
“Over the past few days I have been roundly criticized for joking about a brawl involving the Palin
family. In retrospect, I deserve such criticism and would like to apologize,” Costello said in a statement
to POLITICO.
On Wednesday, before playing a tape in which Bristol Palin describes an alleged altercation at a party
in Wasilla, Alaska, Costello said, “This is quite possibly the best minute and a half of audio we’ve ever
come across. Well, come across in a long time anyway.”
In the tape, Palin is heard describing what happened to her after she confronted someone she
accused of pushing her sister.
“So we were in a limo. I walk back up. “Did you push my sister?” And some guy gets up, pushes me
down on the grass, drags me across the grass. “You slut, you f—ing c—, you f—ing this.” I get back
up, he pushes me down on the grass again,” Palin said, according to the recording. “And he pulls me

For the third time in four years voters in Wisconsin are casting their ballots to decide who will be the next governor.
Gov. Scott Walker was first elected in 2010, and he overwhelmingly won a recall election forced by labor unions and
Democrats in 2012. Now he’s asking for a second term.
In Wisconsin’s dizzying succession of elections, recalls, and more elections, the Service Employees International
Union has established Wisconsin Jobs Now, a thinly disguised community organizing group whose mission is to turn
out the vote in urban areas of the state. The MacIver Institute, a conservative think thank here in Wisconsin, noticed
earlier this week that Wisconsin Jobs Now vans used to turn out early voters were parking in a no-parking zone
established just outside of Milwaukee’s early voting location.
Media Trackers observed a Wisconsin Jobs Now staffer carefully keeping others away from the no-parking zone with
orange highway cones.
After making several inquiries with the City of Milwaukee, Media Trackers was told by Denise Watson, the woman
overseeing the early voting efforts at that location, that the parking spaces were open to anyone who wanted to vote
early or drop someone off to vote early. We decided to test that statement by waving signs that advertised the early
voting parking and by moving the orange cones around whenever any voter wanted to park there.
That didn’t sit well with one election worker.
Within minutes an official City of Milwaukee poll worker stormed outside of the early voting location to demand that
the voters who parked there remove their vehicles to make way for the SEIU-funded vans rolling in. Here’s a video of
what happened.

Hoisting signs such as “Quit giving misogyny a voice Miami” and “Where is my special privilege Mr.
Will?” roughly 75 students choked the business school gates where conservative columnist George
Will gave a guest lecture Wednesday night at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
As guests headed into the campus area to hear the talk, part of the Anderson Distinguished Lecture
Series, protesters handed out rape and sexual assault information sheets to passersbys while
repeatedly chanting slogans such as “No means no, whatever we wear, wherever we go, yes means
yes” and “nothing less than yes.”
The protest was right in front of the business school gates, so anyone entering through the front gates
to attend the event had to walk through the crowd and endure a barrage of chants and information
sheets.
Other signs touted taglines like “Rape is a violent crime, not a partisan opinion” and “survivors of rape
deserve love and honor.”
Yet the protest apparently did not deter an enormously varied crowd from packing the 400-seat venue
where Will, a Pulitzer-prize winner with The Washington Post, spoke. Students, faculty and Oxford
community members were there to listen about the night’s topic, the political argument today.
By 3:30 p.m., Miami University students were lined up outside of the Farmer School of Business for a
wristband into the 5:30 p.m. lecture. The purpose of this lecture series, according to the business
school’s website, is “to expose students and faculty to opinion leaders whose ideas will impact
business and society.”
But a large contingent of students and faculty did not agree with a “controversial” column by Will
published June 6 that the alleged epidemic of campus rape is overstated and hurting due process
rights for the accused.

The FOX 5 Newsroom received multiple calls from concerned AT&T U-Verse customers Friday after an emergency
message appeared on their screens.
The message, claiming to be an emergency alert issued by The White House, notified viewers that their
programming was being re-directed to another channel. The alert is part of the EAN or Emergency Alert Notification.
Engineers with FOX 5 say the alert can only be activated by the President in times of emergency.
U-Verse engineers tell FOX 5 staff the message appeared on screens around Atlanta, Dallas, Michigan and Austin,
Texas.
Callers from across the FOX 5 viewing area reported the message.
There are no known actual emergency alerts that would have prompted activation of the government's Emergency
Alert Notification System, which is used by broadcasters and the government to warn of emergency situations.
Statement from AT&T: " Earlier today U-verse TV customers may have received an Emergency Alert
notification. We have confirmed that there is no emergency at this time and we are investigating why this
occurred. We apologize for any inconvenience."

CHICAGO (CBS) – A top Emanuel administration official was embarrassed Thursday when a rather large bug
showed up while he was testifying at a Budget Committee hearing.
WBBM Newsradio Political Editor Craig Dellimore reports Chicago Fleet and Facility Management Commissioner
David Reynolds was talking to aldermen about aging equipment, when a very large roach was spotted crawling on the
west wall of the City Council Chambers.
Reynolds said the timing was ironic, given pest control is part of his department’s job.
“I was mortified,” he said. “One of our duties is pest control. It’s an old building with lots of people in it, so we very
routinely do treatments for cockroaches and other pets. We often just end up chasing them around.”
The department called its contractor, Rose Pest Control, which just happens to be owned by North Shore Republican
Congressional candidate Robert Dold.
Did he have any comment on that?
“None whatsoever,” Reynolds said.

OKLAHOMA CITY – A controversial monument of the Ten Commandments at the state Capitol has been destroyed,
according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
The granite monument, which was privately funded stands 6 feet tall and was placed at the Capitol in Nov. 2012
Oklahoma Highway Patrol says around 7 p.m. Thursday troopers responded to an abandoned vehicle which was
driven into the statue.
Investigators with OHP have the suspect vehicle in custody and are continuing to investigate evidence surrounding
the ordeal.
“We’ll process the scene and suspect vehicle to further the investigation in hopes of locating the responsible party”,
stated Patrol spokesperson CPT George Brown.
Anyone with information which may lead to an arrest is asked to contact the Oklahoma Highway Patrol Public Affairs
Office at 405-425-7709.
In September, an Oklahoma County judge threw out a lawsuit that wanted the removal of the Ten Commandments
monument at the statehouse steps.
The lawsuit by the ACLU claimed the monument violates the state constitution’s ban against using public property to
support church or religion.
Here is a statement from Ryan Kiesel, ACLU of Oklahoma Executive Director, on the vandalism of the statue.

“The ACLU of Oklahoma and our clients are outraged at this apparent act of vandalism…” While we

offensive to them as people of faith. Our Oklahoma and Federal Constitutions seek to create a society
in which people of all faiths and those of no faith at all can coexist as equals without fear of
repressions from the government or their neighbors. Whether it is politicians using religion as a
political tool or vandals desecrating religious symbols, neither are living up to the full promise of our

Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin condemned the violence against the Ten Commandments Monument at the
Oklahoma State Capitol and volunteered to raise private funds to restore it.
“This monument was built to memorialize the historical significance of the Ten Commandments in guiding our own
laws and lives,” said Fallin. “It is absolutely appalling that someone would vandalize anything at the Oklahoma State
Capitol – the People’s Building – much less a monument of such significance.”
The Ten Commandments monument was paid for with private funds from Rep. Mike Ritze. Governor Fallin has
offered her assistance to Rep. Ritze to help lead any private fundraising efforts necessary to rebuild the monument.
“Our monument will be rebuilt and restored…”“Our monument will be rebuilt and restored,” said Fallin.
“The people of Oklahoma will not stand for acts of violence against the Capitol or its monuments.”

Yazidi women who have been captured by ISIS are being used as “sex slaves,” but a more appropriate description of
what’s being done to them is brutal inhuman torture.
The torture is so horrific that some women are killing themselves rather than wait for rescue, and one woman even
called a friend embedded with the Peshmerga to ask that their brothel be bombed.
A Kurdish activist and friend of the man who received the call tells BBC News that the woman begged:
If you know where we are, please bomb us. There is no life after this. I’m going to kill myself anyway.
Others have killed themselves this morning. I’ve been raped 30 times and it’s not even lunch time. I
can’t go to the toilet. Please bomb us.
The activist, Karam, related that the men “just burst out crying” after the call “because they felt so helpless.”

thousands of Detroiters, expressing concern over the number of low-income black residents who are
living without running water.
Two UN special rapporteurs made an informal trip to Detroit this weekend to hear first-hand from
people who have had their water turned off or are struggling to pay high water bills.
“We were deeply disturbed to observe the indignity people have faced and continue to live with in one
of the wealthiest countries in the world and in a city that was a symbol of America’s prosperity,” read a
joint statement Monday from Catarina de Albuquerque, the UN’s special rapporteur on the human
right to safe drinking water and sanitation, and Leilani Farha, whose role addresses adequate housing
and the right to non-discrimination in housing. [...]
“We were also distressed to learn from the low-income African American residents of the impossible
choices they are being compelled to make — to either pay their rent or their medical bill, or to pay their
water bill,” Farha and de Albuquerque said.

FERGUSON – Police say five people were arrested overnight during protests outside the Ferguson
Police Department.
St. Louis County Police Sgt. Brian Schellman said Thursday that a crowd of about 200 encroached
upon the police headquarters, blocking traffic on South Florissant Road and knocking over barricades.
Five officers were hit with rocks, bottles and a metal rod but no one was injured, Schellman said.
Backup officers were dispatched to the headquarters when some in the crowd tried to break through
barricades a second time.
By 2 a.m., the crowd dwindled to about four people, Schellman said. The five protesters who were
arrested were charged with misdemeanor counts of peace disturbance or failure to disperse. Police
did not immediately identify them Thursday.

An NYPD rookie is in critical condition and another police officer is in stable condition after being
attacked by a man wielding a hatchet on a Queens street Thursday, police said.
Two other officers fired on the man, stopping the attack. The assailant was pronounced dead at the
scene. A 29-year-old female bystander was also struck by a bullet and underwent surgery at Jamaica
Hospital, where she’s recovering, officials said.
The officers, all recent graduates of the Police Academy assigned to the 103rd Precinct in Jamaica,
were asked to pose for a picture by a freelance photographer at the intersection of 162nd Street and
Jamaica Avenue shortly before 2 p.m. when the man attacked them from behind, Police
Commissioner Bill Bratton said.
The suspect “charged at the officers with a hatchet in his hand,” Bratton said. “Unprovoked and not
speaking a word, the male then swung at one of the officers with a hatchet, striking his right arm. After
striking that officer, the suspect continuing swinging the hatchet, striking a second officer in the head.”
It wasn’t clear what provoked the attack, Bratton said. The metal hatchet was about 18 inches long.
Authorities were working to confirm the identity of the assailant, Bratton said.
The 25-year-old officer who was struck in the head, Taylor Kraft, was undergoing surgery and his
family, several of whom are NYPD members, was keeping vigil at Jamaica Hospital, Bratton said. The
24-year-old officer who was struck in the arm, Joseph Meeker, was expected to be released from the
hospital later Thursday.
Following the attacks on uniformed soldiers in Canada on Wednesday, the NYPD issued a warning for
officers to be in a heightened state of awareness.

police may have had ties to ISIS, sources told Vocativ.
Law-enforcement sources we spoke with identified Zale Thompson as the armed man who charged at
a group of NYPD uniformed police assembled on a street corner in Jamaica, Queens, at around 2
p.m. today. The 32-year-old Muslim, who lived in Queens, struck one of the officers in the back of the
head with his hatchet and gashed another on the arm, the police said.

Obama Claims 14th Amendment Requires Nationalized
Same-Sex Marriage

While President Barack Obama said, during his first presidential campaign in 2008, that he thought marriage was strictly
between one man and one woman, he now has confidently stated that same-sex marriage is guaranteed under the “equal
protection” clause of the Fourteenth Amendment.
This is not Obama’s first change of position on the issue. When campaigning for reelection in 2012, he decided that samesex marriage was an issue best left to the states.
Now, Obama recently told Jeff Toobin of the New Yorker magazine that the recent decision of the Supreme Court to refuse
to hear appeals from circuit courts on the issue was the best decision the Court has made since he took office. After more
than one circuit court overturned states’ laws against same-sex marriage as a violation of the “equal protection” clause of
the 14th Amendment, the Supreme Court declined to even hear appeals, letting the appellate courts’ decisions stand.
“Ultimately, I think the Equal Protection Clause does guarantee same-sex marriage in all fifty states,” Obama told the New
Yorker.
It is beyond belief that the Congress which passed the 14th Amendment, and the states which voted to ratify it, intended to
enshrine the marriage of a man to a man, and a woman to a woman, as a “constitutional right.”
Actually, it appears quite unlikely that the creators of the 14th Amendment intended many of the things modern judges
claim were intended. Certainly the Bill of Rights, added to the Constitution in 1791, was designed to protect the states and
American citizens from the power of the federal government. One only has to look at the 10th Amendment, which clearly
states that all powers not delegated to the federal government are “reserved” to the states and the people. Judicial
decisions of recent decades, which use the 14th Amendment, specifically the “equal protection” clause, to increase federal
power at the expense of the states, turn the Bill of Rights on its head.
In the 1833 decision Barron v. Baltimore, Chief Justice John Marshall wrote, “Had Congress engaged in the extraordinary
occupation of improving the Constitution of the several states by affording the people additional protection for the exercise
of power by their own governments in matters which concerned themselves alone, they would have declared this purpose
in plain and intelligible language.” The states were exempted from the restrictions of the Bill of Rights (the states typically
had their own constitutions with their own bills of rights).
But did the 14th Amendment change all that, and “incorporate” the Bill of Rights, and make them applicable to restrict state
governments, or more specifically, transfer any judicial review from state to federal courts?
It is clear from the historical record that the 14th Amendment had a dual purpose. First, many members of Congress
expressed concern that they lacked constitutional authority to enact into law the provisions of the Civil Rights Act of 1866.
(This seems almost odd to the modern ear — members of Congress actually expressing concern that something they are
considering doing might be in violation of the U.S. Constitution, and therefore they refrain from doing it.)
A second reason for the proposed constitutional amendment was to define citizenship in such a way as to make the former
slaves citizens of the United States, and thus entitled to the same protections of the law that states afforded each of their
own citizens. This was considered necessary because of a previous Supreme Court decision in 1857 (Dred Scott v.
Sanford) which had declared that Blacks were not citizens. Congress had previously passed the Civil Rights Act in
reaction to the notorious Black Codes enacted in several southern states. The codes attempted to create a system of
apprenticeship, labor restrictions, and vagrancy laws for the purpose of reversing the recent emancipation of the slaves
with the 13th Amendment. Concerned that Congress might repeal the Civil Rights Act if the Democrats returned to power,
Republicans pushed through the constitutional amendment, which was basically identical to the Civil Rights Act. This would
place its provisions beyond the ability of any future Congress to simply repeal them.
In an 1879 decision, Missouri v. Lewis, Justice Joseph Bradley held that the 14th Amendment “does not profess to secure
to all persons in the United States the same laws or the same remedies. Great diversities in these respects may exist in
two states separated by an imaginary line.”
Over the next few decades, federal courts consistently refused to apply the Bill of Rights to restrict state governments,
despite the passage of the 14th Amendment.
It was not until 1925 that the Supreme Court made any moves toward what is now known as the “incorporation doctrine,”
the assertion that the 14th Amendment “incorporated” at least some of the provisions of the Bill of Rights to restrict actions
of state governments. The first tentative move in that direction came with the decision Gitlow v. New York, which said
states must respect the freedom of speech provisions found in the First Amendment to the federal Constitution. Not long
after that, Charles Warren wrote in an article in the Harvard Law Review predicting the Court had established the
precedent to apply the remainder of the Bill of Rights so as to restrict the states in the federal court system.
Warren was proved correct, and today the average American does not even question the authority of the federal courts to
simply substitute their judgment for what the people and their legislators have decided in the several states. Courts,
breaking the chain of the Constitution, now consider themselves a super-legislature, unelected and unaccountable to the
people, the Constitution, or even God. Raoul Berger, in The Fourteenth Amendment and the Bill of Rights, put it very well:
“Against the historical evidence, ‘equal protection’ has become a crystal ball in which judicial soothsayers can find whatever
they will.” Justice John Harlan expressed it similarly: “When the Court disregards the express intent and understanding of
the Framers, it has invaded the realm of the political process to which the amending power was committed, and it has
violated the constitutional structure which is its highest duty to protect.”
Yet, we have a situation, blessed by the president of the United States, in which federal judges regularly ignore the clear
wording of the Constitution, and substitute their own social views for the majority of citizens in several states, using the
expression “equal protection” as a way of amending the Constitution, without going through the constitutional amendment
procedure.
No one seriously believes the framers of the 14th Amendment intended to outlaw the definition of marriage as between
one man and one woman, and then proceed to force the states to accept that definition. While the framers of the
Constitution provided for a way to amend the Constitution in Article V of the document, that method is usually not even
considered. No, the preference now is to simply ignore the Constitution and the will of the people, and “amend” the
Constitution through a misconstruction of the “equal protection” clause of the 14th Amendment. The constitutional method
of amending the Constitution has now been replaced by an unconstitutional method of amending the Constitution.

USA Today softens news of Yet Another Obama Administration Scandal ™ as best it can, using the headline "U.S.

Translated into English, it means "Obama Administration Released Illegal Immigrants Charged with Homicide ."
New records contradict the

minor criminal records.

TODAY, show immigration
officials released some
undocumented immigrants who
had faced far more serious
criminal charges, including
people charged with kidnapping, sexual assault, drug trafficking and homicide.
The release sparked a furor in Congress. Republican lawmakers accused the Obama administration
of setting dangerous criminals free. In response, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement said it
had released "low-risk offenders who do not have serious criminal records," a claim the administration
repeated to the public and to members of Congress.
The new records, including spreadsheets and hundreds of pages of e-mails, offer the most detailed
information yet about the people ICE freed as it prepared for steep, across-the-government spending
cuts in February 2013. They show that although two-thirds of the people who were freed had no
criminal records, several had been arrested or convicted on charges more severe than the
administration had disclosed.
ICE spokeswoman Gillian Christensen acknowledged the discrepancy. She said "discretionary
releases made by ICE were of low-level offenders. However, the releases involving individuals with
more significant criminal histories were, by and large, dictated by special circumstances outside of the
agency's control."
...In hearings last year, Republican lawmakers pressed then-ICE Director John Morton for specifics on
the criminal records of the people the agency had freed. At one, Rep. J. Randy Forbes, R-Va., asked
Morton directly, "No one on that list has been charged or convicted with murder, rape or sexual abuse
of a minor, were they?"
Morton answered, "They were not."
He told lawmakers that, to his knowledge, none had faced child pornography charges.
White House spokesman Jay Carney similarly described them as "low-risk, non-criminal detainees."
Obama lied.
The White House lied.
His administration lied.
And American citizens will die because of this sickening, criminal behavior.

Conservative filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza, whose films 2016: Obama’s America and America: Imagine a World
Without Her are two of the top political documentaries of all time, avoided jail time in his campaign violations case.
However, he still had far more judiciary consequences than liberals who committed far worse campaign violations.
After pleading guilty, D’Souza was sentenced to five years probation and eight months in a community confinement
center in San Diego where he checks in every night and is free to leave and work during the day. However, now a
judge appointed by Democrat Bill Clinton has placed further restrictions on D’Souza and it may greatly impact how
much of his activism he can do.
WND reports that U.S. District Judge Richard Berman has instructed D’Souza that he may not leave San Diego
County during the time he has to be at the community confinement center. He must also receive permission of his
federal probation officer before doing any media.
This ruling stemmed from a clarification requested by D’Souza’s probation officer regarding a travel policy for him.
The probation officer recently gave D’Souza permission to travel to New York City for an interview with Fox News’
Megyn Kelly on The Kelly File. During that interview, D’Souza said he sees his sentence as a political win and the
work-release experience as ‘kind of like camp.’
As a result of the judge’s ruling restricting travel, D’Souza had to cancel a speech at the University of California at
Santa Barbara. He has also been told that he cannot film any of the weekly English classes that he teaches as part of
his parole.

A report is out, in the wake of the city of Houston's demands that area pastors hand over their sermons and
communication with their members, saying that there is a national movement of American pastors who are going on
the offensive. These pastors are banding together in a theme reminiscent of the Star Wars' saga's "The Empire
Strikes Back." Their movement is called, "The Pastors Strike Back."
Pastors from across the fruited plain have decided to come together and voluntarily send Bibles and sermons to
Mayor Annise Parker's office.
Former Governor Mike Huckabee called on every pastor in America to do this recently.
"I hope she gets thousands and thousands of sermons and Bibles," said Huckabee on his Fox News show Saturday.
Author Eric Metaxas also did the same thing. He told David Brody, "Never in our history has religious freedom been
so brazenly defied. A bold red line has been crossed. The Houston mayor's inexcusable demand to see the sermons
of pastors is an outrageous and shocking affront to all Americans and to liberty itself. If the American church does not
rise up and stand against this, there is no American church."
Brody also was able to acquire a home video of Brad Atkins, pastor of Powersville First Baptist Church in Greenville,
South Carolina as he sent his sermon off to Parker.
Apparently though, this issue that has been stirred up by the sodomite mayor and her administration has fired up
pastors around the world. According to Brody, reports are the pastors from Australia, Germany and Canada will also
be sending their sermons and Bibles to the Mayor.
"On November 2nd, The Family Research council is hosting a huge simulcast event in Houston at a big church,"
wrote Brody. "Guests will include Mike Huckabee, Phil Robertson, the Benham brothers, Dr. Ronnie Floyd and
others. In South Carolina, the South Carolina Pastors Alliance is staging an event called, "The Stand" to be held on
the statehouse grounds."
This is exactly what needs to be done on a number of fronts. Americans need to come together to defeat the tyranny
that is growing in our society. These pastors get my support for their willingness to stand up and launch an offensive
on behalf of their brothers in Texas.
The city of Houston did take a step back from their larger subpoena that demanded sermons and communications of
pastors to removing sermons from the request. However, that didn't fly with senior legal counsel Erik Stanley from
Alliance Defending Freedom.
Stanley said, "The city of Houston still doesn't get it. It thinks that by changing nothing in its subpoenas other than to
remove the word 'sermons' that it has solved the problem. That solves nothing. They must be rescinded entirely."
No doubt, this is what has provoked the pastors to take this initiative.
There comes a time when men must take a hard stand and that time is now. Texas preachers have already taken a
stand. While I'm not sure that sending all those Bibles and sermons in will actually do anything, I do think it at least
sends the message that Christians are not going to back down simply because there is intimidation by those elected
to office who ignore the law and then attempt to impose immoral legislation on their citizens like Houston's "bathroom
bill."

The South Miami City Commission voted 3 to 2 for Florida’s 23 southern counties to secede and form
a new state named South Florida because of frustration over environmental issues and a lack of
concern by state leaders.
The average elevation in southern Florida is lower than in the north, and global warming and rising
sea levels threaten the region, the city said in a resolution this month. However, getting Tallahassee
to pay attention to the growing problem is difficult, the city said.
“South Florida’s situation is very precarious and in need of immediate attention,” reads the resolution.
“Presently, in order to address the concerns of South Florida, it is necessary to travel to Tallahassee in
North Florida. Often South Florida issues do not receive the support of Tallahassee.”
The need to create a new state is a “necessity for the very survival of the entire southern region of the
current state of Florida,” the commission said.
A copy of the resolution will be sent to the 23 counties and all municipalities in Miami-Dade County. To
form a new state, a proposal must be approved by the state legislature and U.S. Congress. No state
has been formed from a previously existing state since 1863 when West Virginia was created from
Virginia.

This meditation came to me a week ago in meditation. I often let my consciousness and breath follow
my spine up and down. Recently I learned a figure 8 breathing visualization from Kate Sutherland
which helps to ground oneself.
Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, eyes closed and your attention on your breath. Sitting or
lying down works too, but standing is the easiest way to start.
Inhale slowly and bring your awareness to your heart.
Exhale slowly and imagine your breath is traveling the front of your body and entering to the center of
the Earth.
Inhale slowly and imagine you are drawing up energy from the center of the Earth, up the back of your
body, and into your heart.
Exhale slowly and imagine that your breath is going from your heart up the front of your body as high
as it can go – to the stars, heaven, the sun – whatever works for you.
Inhale slowly and imagine you are drawing energy down from the sky, down the back of your body and
into your heart.
Continue breathing the same shape. Next time you exhale, imagine your breath is travelling down to
the earth, to the reserves of oil and coal and gas. Imagine a protective sheet of shimmering light
around them so they stay in the ground. See all the wells and pumps disappear from the reserves.
Inhale slowly and imagine you are drawing energy up from the Earth, into your heart.
Exhale slowly and imagine your breath is going from your heart up towards the sky, to the
atmosphere. Visualize that you can see the carbon dioxide molecules (one carbon, 2 oxygen) and you
are touching them gently, loving them and letting them transform into oxygen and carbon.
Inhale back to your heart, bringing the carbon atoms with you.
Exhale and imagine you are bringing your breath and the carbon atoms down down to the center of
the Earth. Return the carbon. Smoothly pet tight the mines, the drilling holes.
Inhale up to your heart. Exhale up to the atmosphere. Love away the carbon dioxide.
