There were many people who worked alongside us to make this auction wonderful.
We would like to take the opportunity to thank all those who participated on our
committee and asked for the donations for the auction tonight. Asking for money or
donations is one of the hardest jobs to do, but it is a lot easier when asking for a
great cause, such as this.
We would like to thank the donors--- without you there would not be an auction.
Thank you to our longtime supporters, as well as first-time donors.
We also wish to thank the James K. Polk Association Board and Steering
committee for their special help in guiding us to a successful auction; their
leadership and advice on how to get the job done was invaluable. Especially, we
would like to thank Alison Gengelbach and Phyllis Parkes, co-chairs of the
Memorial Ball 2014, for first believing in us and entrusting us with such an
important aspect of the Ball.
But most of all, we owe our gratitude to our families who gave more than anyone,
by allowing us the time away from them as we spent countless hours on this
project. Thank you….. John, Caroline, & Ann Russell, and Mike & Tatum. We
couldn’t have done it without your love, encouragement, and understanding. You
are the best!
Sincerely,
Neelley King and Beth Kelley
