The Mount Saunders Library existed in the Town
Camp as early as November 1971. This Library
holds a collection of books “with some first rate
authors”, some exchanged books, and some books
“provided by the Darwin Public Library which
serves this area through its country borrowers
section”.
Later the “NTA Office Block and Library” located
within the town centre, was mentioned with the
anticipated completion of all works by June 1972.
