The Association of British Scrabble Players (ABSP) is delighted to present
the National Scrabble Championship of 2014. This event is open to all
players. It will be rated by both ABSP and WESPA.

The entrance fee includes: Tournament entry (including 60p rating levy). Saturday dinner, Sunday

Extend your stay: Friday or Sunday nights B&B only £60.00 pp single (or £50.00 pp sharing

Tick the register (in the playing area foyer) before 11:15 so we can get the tournament under way promptly
The first 16 rounds of the tournament will be fontes swiss-paired with a final round KOTH. There will be a 5 point
penalty per word for incorrect challenges. Repeats will be allowed after the first day with second repeats coming in
from round 14 onwards. The final round will be pure KOTH except for the possibility of Gibsonisation.
It is the player’s responsibility to be at their table on time.
The closing date is Friday 17 October. Entries received after this date are NOT guaranteed and payment must be
received in advance.
Cancellations: refunds will be made if possible but can’t be guaranteed and very unlikely if cancelling on the day .
Resident parking free (but limited, arrive early), non-res £5 on Sunday; parking outside is by machine or phone...
