MEETING SCOPE: This regional meeting is a premier gathering of industrial and academic researchers working in the
common areas of synthesis, characterization, and application of zeolites and other porous materials.
MEETING REGISTRATION: Registration is required for all meeting attendees. Pre-registration ($60 for professionals and
$30 for students/postdocs/retirees) for the meeting is strongly encouraged by no later than Dec. 1, 2014 by check
(payable to “NECZA”). On-site registration will also be accepted (checks only) at walk-in rates of $80 for professionals
and $40 for students/postdocs/retirees. Please visit the NECZA website (www.necza.org) for registration instructions.
POSTER SESSION: The meeting includes a poster session for undergraduates, graduates, and postdoctoral researchers
to showcase related work (see poster call attached)

CALL FOR POSTERS
The annual NECZA meeting is one of the premier opportunities for graduate students to showcase their work with
professionals within the regional chemical industry. Undergraduate, graduate and post-doctoral researchers whose
work is either directly or indirectly related to synthesis and characterization of zeolites and other porous materials as
well as their application in e.g. catalysis and adsorption are encouraged to submit poster abstracts.
Abstract submission In order to present a poster, an abstract (< 1 page in length, please use template provided) should
be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc) format to the Poster Chair (Bjorn Moden, [email protected]) no later
than Monday, December 1st, 2014 (e-mail subject: NECZA 2014-[1st author’s name]). Posters should be prepared no
larger than 36” x 48”.
Awards and poster talks Three poster presenters, to be selected by the organizing committee during the poster session,
will each be awarded a $50 prize, and will be asked to briefly present their work in an informal talk during the afternoon
session of the meeting (10 min time slots: 7 min talks + 3 min questions) in front of a friendly and inquisitive audience. If
you would like to be considered for these poster speaker slots and prize money, please indicate this in the email when
submitting the abstract; please also bring along a USB-drive with e.g. 3-5 slides to cover the 7-minute talk in case you are
select as one of the three winners. All graduate student poster presenters are strongly encouraged to enter into the
competition for the award money and presentation slots. Post-docs are welcome to present posters but are not eligible
for prizes and the presentation slots.
