RGGVY DIVISION
Preface….
RGGGVY
is
a
massive
programme
for
rural
electrification in India. Through 921 sanctioned projects, it
has practically touched almost every village in 27 States in
the country. 235 projects sanctioned under X plan and 341
projects sanctioned under XI plan Phase-I are on the verge
of completion of which in total 263 projects have already
been closed. 72 prjects sanctioned under phase-II of XI plan
are under execution and 273 projects sanctioned under XII
plan are under award stage.
In an effort to provide an overall picture of status
implementation of RGGVY projects in the country this
executive summary has been contemplated out of the
myriad
data
that
is
being
collected,
collated
and
maintained at REC. This is being published for the higher
officials
of
the
Implementing
Agencies,
State
Power
Utilities, State and Central Power Ministries, Planning
Commission etc.
This Executive Summary of RGGVY Projects will be
updated every month. I hope this will serve as a ready
reckoner of status of implementation of RGGVY projects in
the country.
