Friends of the Library Fundraisers
The Friends of the St. Albert Public Library are the Library’s largest, continuous charitable
supporter. Over the years they have raised thousands of dollars for library books, materials and
programs like our children’s Summer Reading Game. Recently much of their fundraising helps
the Library run its STARFest (St. Albert Readers Festival) which was a huge success this year,
nearly selling out all of the author events. To continue to do this great work, the Friends need your
support! Please take part and support their fundraising endeavours. If you would like information
about becoming a Friend of the Library, please contact Valerie at 780-458-3362.
Friends & OUT OF PRINT Fundraiser
From now to Dec. 14 you can order quality shirts, coasters, bags, pouches,
phone cases, jewelry, and more, which feature the original cover art from
great literary titles, and 50 per cent of the proceeds will go to the Friends to
help support the Library.
Out of Print also donates one book to Books for Africa for every product
sold, so your purchase benefits not only the Library, but a third-world
community in need.
See the display in the Friends’ Corner and then visit the Library’s website
for details on how to order. *Please note, that in order for the Friends of the
Library to receive credit for your purchase, you must include the referral code
ALBERT when you reach the check-out page on the Out of Print website.
And don’t forget to purchase your tickets for the Friends’ Rum Tasting
Fundraiser with Gord Whitehead taking place on Friday, Nov. 21 from 7:00
