BRAZILIAN BUTT CLASS SUCCESS
Try our new Brazilian Butt Class offered on Tuesdays at 5:30 PM, Thursdays at 8:35 AM and Saturdays at 9:00 AM.
This class is a combination of Standing-work and Floor-work focused on the glutes. The butt will become rounder and
lifted, the inner and outer thighs get firmer and toned. Class combines cardio moves from Capoeira (Brazilian martial art).

BOOTCAMP 5K - GREAT EVENT!
City Club recently participated in a great and FUN event at UL.
BOOT CAMP 5K BASH was a 5K Run that has 12 circuit training
stations along the route. City Club provided Trainers to warm the
crowd up and we also provided one of the circuits. This fund-raising
event benefitted funding for Unity Village Community, a community
for individuals with special needs. Thank you to all who joined the
City Club team and participated for such a worthy cause!
EXTENDED KIDS CLUB HOURS FOR THANKSGIVING
The Kids Club will have extended hours during the Thanksgiving holidays. Dates of the extended hours are November
24, 25, 26, and 28. Classes are open to children ages 4-12 and are free with your child's Membership. Class times will be
8:30 AM, 9:20 AM, and 10:10 AM.
Friendly Reminder: To ensure the safety of all our Member children, please refrain from bringing
children who are sick or running fever. Thank you for keeping our Club a healthy one!

AMERICAN GIRL TEA - TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 25, 1:30-3:00 PM
Children ages 3-13 (and their guardian) are invited to join us for this special tradition where
they will enjoy a memorable time together sipping juices, lemonade, and exquisite tea
varieties. We will also serve cookies and petite sandwiches. Enjoy movie time and lively
conversation. Cost is $15 plus tax and service charge per person and a 24-hour cancellation

TAPAS NIGHT: FRIDAYS, 5-9 PM
City Club is bringing back Tapas Night on Friday evenings. Enjoy great offerings to include Oysters, Artichokes, Crawfish
Nachos, Venison, Soft Shell Crab, Fish N' Chips, Stuffed Mushrooms, etc. Chef Donovan changes the creative menu

THANKSGIVING BRUNCH - THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 27
Our annual Thanksgiving Brunch will impress with an array of traditional
Thanksgiving staples, great selection of breakfast items, children's favorites, and
a decadent dessert display. Seatings are at 11:00 am, 11:30 am, 1:00 pm and 1:30
pm. Cost is $32.95 for adults, $14.95 for Children 12 & under, and children 5 &
under are complimentary (all prices are plus tax and service charge). Reservations
can be made by calling 337-216-6507. There is limited seating, so call today &
reserve your family's table. There is a 24-hour cancellation policy in effect for this
event.

Heather Norder - Catering Manager
Heather is from Saint Francisville, LA. She is a graduate of The University of Louisiana at Lafayette
in Mass Communications where she was awarded with Rho Lambda Honors and 2010 Who's Who
Among Students in American Colleges and Universities. Prior to coming to City Club, she was a
Promotions Director and Live Events Coordinator at Town Square Media, so she is very familiar with
making events great! Heather coordinates City Club Weddings, Ceremonies, Rehearsal Dinners and

Mica Istre - Catering Coordinator
Mica is from Las Vegas, NV. She graduated Cum Laude from The University of Louisiana at
Lafayette where she majored in Psychology. She is no stranger to City Club, coming to us from our
AAA 4-Diamond Hotel, the Carriage House Hotel. Prior to working with our Team, she worked
at the AAA 5-Diamond Bellagio Resort & Casino where she worked at the Front Desk and VIP
Services. Mica provides administrative assistance and support to our Catering Department. She also
coordinates events for School Functions, Churches, Non-Profits, Pool Parties, and Member Events at

Camellia Crossing will again take place in the evening on Wednesday, November 26th. Camellia Boulevard will be closed

LOUISIANA FALL CLAY COURT
CHAMPIONSHIPS PRO-AM
This Pro Am will be held on Friday, November 7th at 5pm at
the City Club at River Ranch clay courts. Players with level 3.5,
4.0, 4.5 and 5.0 are invited to participate. The entry fee is $85
per player and there will be a maximum of 24 players. Food and

Please note that effective Sunday, November 16 the Pro Shop will close on Sunday’s for the winter months. Booking of
courts can still be done as courts are open (weather permitting) for Members during the daylight hours on Sundays.
WELCOME ELLIOT MINVIELLE
Elliot Minvielle is a New Iberia native and a graduate in Business Finance from the University of
Louisiana at Lafayette. He was a two-time Louisiana state doubles runner up for Lafayette High
School. Also played four years for the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where they claimed the
Sunbelt Conference championship, and received a top 50 national ranking NCAA Division I. Since
college, he has played professional level events in Europe, Asia, Central America, and the United
States, where he has picked up wins over multiple guys inside the top 1500 ATP. Elliot is available to
provide lessons to all ages and rankings. Call the Pro Shop to book your lesson today!
THANKSGIVING YOUTH SPORTS CAMP
November 24-26. PeeWee Ages 4-6; Youth Ages 7-12
City Club is excited to offer children a fun-filled camp for the Thanksgiving
Holidays. Camp times are 8-12 for Pee-Wee and 8-2 for Youth Campers.
Kids will enjoy an active and fun-filled morning including tennis, bootcamp fitness, lego building, soccer, crafts and karate.
They will be separated into age groups. Camp is overseen by Chad Hebert, Head Tennis Pro, and his talented Staff.
Children need to bring their water bottles, tennis shoes and tennis rackets. Snacks are provided. Youth campers have the
option to bring their lunch from home or purchase a meal plan from us (provided by City Club Grill & Bar) for $15. For

TENNIS TIP FOR THE BEGINNER: PRACTICE WITH A PURPOSE
The best tip I can give a beginner is to practice with a purpose. No matter how much time you have to practice or what
your goals are, it's important to practice with a purpose. As a tennis beginner, you are likely still learning the ropes of the
game. The brain simply has a lot of new information to process and it will take time for these new concepts to fully sink in.
So the first tip I want to give you will be easy, but also very important. There are no
short cuts to learning how to play. Start by practicing with a purpose every time you
go on the court. Going out and hitting balls with no rhyme or reason will just develop
bad habits. Many beginners go out and make mistakes but the mistakes can become
habits. When these mistakes get ingrained into the muscle memory then it's a problem.
If you are going to improve, have goals and learn from your mistakes. So my first tip
for beginners is to practice with a purpose from day 1, and this will have an immediate
positive impact on your future results whatever your goals maybe. Good luck! See you
