EXPERIENCE
(In order of preference)
a) MBBS from a recognized institution with at least one
year experience in Ophthalmology.
b) MBBS from a recognized university with at least six
months experience in Ophthalmology and six months
experience in General Medicine.
c) MBBS from a recognized university with at least six
months experience each in General Medicine and
General Surgery.
d) MBBS with MPH (one year duration). These candidates
will be given exemption from first year. However they
will have to attend the Community Eye Health Module.
In order of Preference:
- F.Sc. 1st division (Pre-medical)
- F.Sc. 2nd division (Pre-medical)
- Matric 1st Division with Science
(at least 45% marks in science subjects i.e.
Physics, Chemistry & Biology)
- Matric 2nd Division with Science (at least
45% marks in science subjects i.e. Physics,
Chemistry & Biology)
Age upto 45 yrs. No relaxation in age limit
shall be granted.

Ophthalmic Nursing

One year Program
- 4-year Diploma in General Nursing duly
registered with Pakistan Nursing Council.
At least three years after nursing diploma as charge nurse in
a recognized hospital.

IMPORTANT NOTE:





Foreign students should apply through Economics Affairs Division, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of Pakistan under Foreign Students Rules & Regulations.
Foreign students will only be given acceptance letter and will be admitted only after clearance from Government of Pakistan as per laid down Protocol.
Government Servants should apply through proper channel & submit NOC from their parent departments.
Application Forms can be collected from College of Ophthalmology & Allied Vision Sciences. Form can also be downloaded from the website of the college (www.coavs.edu.pk)
Applicants applying for more than one course should submit separate application form for each course.
Write the name of course applied for on the envelope.



All admissions are on open merit.







Last date for submission of application form is 1st November 2014.
The application forms duly filled in along with all necessary documents (mentioned in the Application Form) should reach the office of the undersigned before the closing of office hours on the
last date for submission of application.
Interview of MCEH and Fellowship (VR & Pediatric Ophthalmology) programs will be conducted on 8th Nov. 2014, first merit list will be displayed on 14th Nov. 2014, 2nd Merit List on 21st
Nov. 2014 & last on 28th December 2014 on the notice board of College of Ophthalmology & Allied Vision Sciences.
The first merit list of BSc. (Hons) Vision Sciences, Ophthalmic Technician and Ophthalmic Nursing programs will be displayed on 15th November 2014, 2nd Merit List on 29th November 2014
& last on 13th December 2014 on the notice board of College of Ophthalmology & Allied Vision Sciences and website.
Candidate applying against provincial quota seats will compete among themselves. Unfilled Seats from other Provinces & quotas will be given to open merit from Punjab.
Classes will start from January 1, 2015.
Fee will be charged as per instructions from the Health Department.
No Hostel Accommodation is promised. However, If hostel accommodation is provided, students have to pay the security of Rs. 10,000/- and share the utility bills amongst themselves.
