This is the registration period when there is a
less likely chance that your friendship
requests will be honored since a large number
of placements will already have been taken
during the first sign up period.
PLEASE NOTE: Registration will be held
on a first come, first served basis. If all
spots are filled during the 1st and 2nd
registrations, there will not be a late
registration period!

GIRLS LEAGUES
(Pre-School - 3rd Grade)
The Northbrook Action Baseball League,
directed by Mark Gerstein and Scott Weiner,
has developed a quality baseball program for
anyone in their final year of pre-school
through 2nd grade (boys) or 3rd grade (girls)
who want a chance to become a star. In this
pre-little league/softball league experience,
children learn the basic fundamentals of the
game like hitting, catching, throwing , running
bases, etc. They meet new friends and have
tons of fun in an organized, low-keyed
atmosphere. Players really look forward to
attending all of the games and practices.
The Northbrook Action Baseball/Softball
League will be split up into 8 sections:
T-Ball League
(pre-schoolers in Fall of 2014)
Girls Minor League K
(girls presently in kindergarten, 2014-2015)
Boys Minor League
Registration is held , by mail, on a first come,
first served basis. Everyone who succeeds in
getting their registration in early, during the
"REQUEST" sign up period, will be assigned
to a team and be guaranteed of playing in
every inning of every game. If a parent or
coach wants to form their own team, they can
gather all of their players' registration forms
and checks, then send them in a large brown
envelope to the address listed on top of the
player League Registration Form. No more
than 13 players will be allowed on any team.
By April 1st, you will receive a complete
roster of team members and a schedule of
games for the entire season. Gametimes for
all T-Ball Leaguers will be at 5:30 p.m. on
weekday evenings.
All other league
gametimes will be either 5:30 or 6:45 p.m. In
the event of bad weather on a gamedate
evening, those games will be rescheduled.
Team Practices will be scheduled by the
coaches at their availability at least once per
week.
VOLUNTEER COACHES:
If you would like to spend about 2-3 hours
per week to help children learn basic
fundamentals of the game, and enjoy a
terrific, satisfying experience, then please
circle YES on your child's registration form
where it asks if parents want to be a head

All children (boys and girls) will be instructed
on how to hit , catch, and throw a reduced
injury baseball , along with learning how to
play most positions on the field. Children in
all leagues, with the exception of the T-ball
League, will be taught how to hit a pitched
baseball or an 11" softball. All 2nd and 3rd
grade teams will be a part of the Northbrook
Action Baseball World Series at the end of the
regular season .
All players will be given a team shirt, cap,
socks, and official baseball pants, along with
being instructed by an adult coach who enjoys
working with children.

CHILD'S TEAM!
This will be a 10 week program starting the
end of April and extending through the final
week in June. There will be a short post-season World Series for all Major League and
Girls Major League players , which may
extend their season through July 1lth.
It's a thrill!
During the season, all players will meet at
least twice per week (once for their organized
game and at least once for practice). All
scheduled games, tentatively, will either be
played at Sky Harbor Field (Pfingsten &
Dundee), Greenbriar School, Meadowbrook
School, or at Stonegate Park.
