Regional Land Adjustment Program Manager Outreach GS-1170-13 The Eastern Region will soon be advertising a Supervisory Realty Specialist, GS-1170-13 position in the Air, Water, Lands, Soil and Minerals (AWLSM) Staff in Region 9 Regional Office. About the Position This position serves as the Region’s Land Adjustment Program Manager. The incumbent will provide leadership, oversight and guidance to field units in the Region for a highly technical, active, and complex land adjustment program. Additional critical duties are implementation of national lands adjustment direction, budget development and supervision of one GS-11 Realty Specialist. The Regional Lands Program Manager closely coordinates with the Regional Special Uses Program Manager, Land Surveyor and Appraiser, Washington Office Lands Staff, and the Office of the General Counsel on a regular basis. This position requires knowledge of the Forest Service land adjustment guidance and outstanding communication skills. The Eastern Region consists of more than 12 million acres spread across 15 national forests and one national tall grass prairie in the East and Midwest. Over 40% of the U.S. population lives within this area.
