WAG and Haute Dawgs will be holding a Toys for Tots toy drive during the WAG November CPE Trial and the December Haute Dawgs NADAC trial. We would like to challenge every dog entered in the trial to donate a new, unwrapped toy to this wonderful cause. A huge collection bin will be set up in the arena to collect all of the toys you bring. You can also make a monetary donation (any checks written should be made out to “Toys For Tots Foundation”). Please remember your donation will be tax deductible. The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys each year and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children. Toys for Tots delivers a message of hope to needy youngsters that will motivate them to grow into responsible, productive, patriotic citizens and community leaders. Please help us support this great organization during the holiday season! Thanks. 9 Just for fun—we are again offering the Turkey Trot—to be held Friday after the regular classes are complete. There will be no fee to run this class - it is for dogs entered in the show only. (Your dog you wish to run must have been entered in at least one class on Friday) Handlers can form teams of three prior to the show—or we will group people together on Friday for those that are vying for the title of “Top Turkey”. Teams will be grouped as follows – 4, 8 & 12 inch jumpers, 16 inch jumpers & 20 & 24 inch jumpers. All teammates must be in the height groupings listed above. This game will be open to all level dogs. Dogs of mixed jump heights will all jump the lowest dog height in the group. All agility obstacles may be used on the course - but not each will be in every course. At the conclusion of the game—the best teams will be awarded the Top Turkey Honors for their height and the honor of being a Top Turkey all weekend. More details about the game will be available on Friday morning and will be well briefed before the game as well. Sure to be a blast for all!
