A Collaborative Partnership
When you’re deploying electronics in locations with
excessive temperatures, making sure your components
can handle these conditions is paramount. Instead of
force-fitting mass market electronic materials to your
needs, we directly meet those needs by providing you
solutions developed specifically for use in downhole
drilling applications.
Our expertise in multiple chemistries means we have
multiple solutions allowing you design flexibility. For
example, by providing the use of thermally conductive
silicone encapsulants, you can expect excellent thermal
conductivity for electrical/electronic encapsulating applications, while retaining desirable properties associated
with silicones. This solution allows you to keep silicone
encapsulant in a liquid form to dispense over printed
circuit boards (PCBs).
Another way we provide design flexibility for our
customers is through our partnership with Ultimate
Solutions, LLC, a preform manufacturing company. This
method involves taking a LORD thermally conductive
silicone encapsulant and making a preformed casing,
or pad, to protect mission-critical electronic components
from damage due to heat, shock and vibration.
LORD thermally conductive silicone encapsulant (shown above) is a
two-component system designed to provide excellent thermal conductivity for electrical/electronic encapsulating applications, while retaining
desirable properties associated with silicones.
