Using cost and energy efficient solutions, providing enhanced functionality, and increased light-weighting at the same time has become one of the main objectives for the automotive industry. This demands for an integrative and holistic approach of developing new materials and production technologies. The 4th international Lower Silesia-Saxony conference „Advanced Metal Forming Processes in Automotive Industry – AutoMetForm 2014“, from November 3rd to 5th 2014 will provide an overview on the most recent findings and developments in the field, especially with a focus on research and industrial activities in Lower Silesia and Saxony. Renowned scientists and industrial experts will present current trends and most recent findings on the following topics • current trends in vehicle development • requirements of car manufacturers regarding new materials • materials properties and simulation of forming processes • new developments for sheet metal and massive forming • innovative concepts for tool development and process control We thank you for marking the event in your calendar and would be glad to welcome you at the conference.
