Anatomy of the tooth, physiology and basics behind periodontal disease. The different states of periodontal disease and treatment options associated with the stages of the disease will be discussed. 2. Images and oral exam sheets will be provided for the purpose of going through the images to complete an oral exam and talk about patient treatments. 3. Intraoral Nerve Blocks—What purpose they serve and how to perform them. 4. The decoding of intraoral radiographs (Jennifer’s favorite subject!) - Specific cases will be used to show what can be found in a simple radiograph. As positioning for dental radiographs is something many techs and maybe even doctors struggle with, tips and techniques to get the perfect image will be shared. Each day will start at 7:30 AM with registration and a continental breakfast in the atrium area of the of the Radisson Quad City Plaza in Davenport, Iowa. Professional presentations will begin at 8:30 AM and continue throughout both days. Breaks morning and afternoon as well as lunch each day will be offered in the atrium area.
