Soup Supper: The FFA and FCCLA chapters will be hosting a free-will donation soup supper on Tuesday,
November 11 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM in the cafeteria. The soup supper is a Service Learning Project for high school
students in FFA and FCCLA. Proceeds benefit a local family and help to defray the cost of a recent house fire.
Middle School Mini Dance Marathon: There will be a Middle School Mini Dance Marathon on
Friday, November 14 from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM in the school cafeteria. Cost is $5. Proceeds go to the University of Iowa
Dance Marathon which helps children and their families dealing with cancer. If you would like to volunteer to help,
please contact Joanne Havel at 319-331-4984.
Yearbooks for Sale: The 2014-2015 yearbook is selling for $50 until Friday, November 14. The price will
increase to $55 after November 14. Orders can be placed at www.jostensyearbooks.com. The yearbook consist of 2014 2015 memories. Buy one now while they are still available.
Holiday Food Baskets: The churches of Lone Tree are offering Thanksgiving Food Baskets for families in
need. Please call the Presbyterian Church at 629-4900 by Monday, November 10 to receive a basket. Names, contact
information, children’s ages, and size of family are needed. The baskets will be ready for pick up at 5:30 PM on
Wednesday, November 19.
Picture Re-take Day: Picture re-take day is Thursday, November 20.
Holiday Wreaths: Middle School students are selling holiday wreaths to raise money for special activities and
events. Wreaths are $15.00. If you would like to purchase a wreath, please contact the high school office or Mr. Pierson.
Needed:
Lone Tree School has ticket-taking and concession stand opportunities for any individual or group looking
to raise funds. Contact Tom Squiers if interested.
