Legacy Choral Nov. 21 at CIHS
"Gimme That Ol' Time
Religion" Fall Concert series
of The Legacy Chorale of
Greater Minnesota runs Nov.
21, 22, and 23 and features
folk
songs,
spirituals,
Bluegrass and Southern
Gospel favorites under the
direction of Sarah Aamot,
accompanied
by
Laura
Raedeke, and supported by
guest instrumentalists. The
concert includes, though is
not limited to: His Eye is On
the Sparrow; Amazing Grace;
Down to the River to Pray;
Sourwood Mountain; O
Come, Angel Band; and
more.

for Friday, Nov. 21 at 7:30

begun a fund-raising effort
they are calling “Miracle
Mondays” now through Nov.
24. MMFCU has devoted the
Mondays in September,
October and November to
raise funds for Gillette
Children’s
Specialty
Healthcare—part of the
Children’s Miracle Network.
Now through Nov. 24, all
MMFCU branches will
accept cash donations on
behalf of the Children’s
Miracle Network, with all
proceeds directly benefitting
Gillette Children’s Specialty
Healthcare—an organization
serving children with disabilities and chronic conditions,
based in St. Paul with a clinic
in Baxter.
“Fall fundraising has
become a tradition at
MMFCU. It is a very special

serving a Belgian Waffle
breakfast on Sunday, Dec. 14
from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Breakfast
includes
Belgian Waffles, fruit toppings, scrambled eggs,
sausage, coffee and juice. The
cost is $8 for adults and $4 for
children ages 10 and under.
Belgian Waffles are
served the second Sunday of
each month and proceeds
from the breakfast go to the
Legion scholarship fund.

Nightclub Nov. 14
Erik Koskinen is the next
artist scheduled to perform in
the Grassroots Concerts series
in Nisswa on Friday, Nov. 14 at
7:30 p.m. in the Live Well
Nightclub and Coffee Bar.
Koskinen is a native of
Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
Since moving to the Twin Cities
10 years ago, he has amassed a
following as a musician, songwriter, bandleader, producer,
and recording engineer. He’s
Minnesota’s “best pure country
singer/songwriter” according to
Jon Bream of the StarTribune.
The Live Well Nightclub
and Coffee Bar is located in the
Journey Church next to the
school in Nisswa.
At each concert, the all-volunteer series welcomes your
non-perishable food or cash
donation to a local food shelf.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Admission is $10 at the
door for adults and $5 for children under 12 with listening
attention, when accompanied
by an adult. Come early to
