CSP 67th Annual Meeting
December 2—December 6, 2014
Welcome Message
Dear Colleagues in Pathology:
On behalf of the California Society of Pathologists (CSP), I am proud to
present our 67th Annual Meeting, “Seminars in Pathology .” The 2014 Annual
Meeting will be held in beautiful San Francisco, where distinguished faculty from
around the country will gather to participate in this outstanding educational
program . Join pathologists from California and across the country for what
promises to be an exceptional program which will be held at the Hyatt Regency
Embarcadero from December 2–December 6, 2014 .
The courses, tutorials and lectures are planned to present an array of topics
that are relevant for today’s practicing pathologists, as well as introduce important new concepts that can be applied to your daily practice . Courses will provide
opportunities to receive continuing medical education credits and some will
provide Self Assessment Module credit (SAMS) .
Some of the highlights of this year’s program include a presentation by Dr .
Brad Spellberg, who will provide a practical perspective on the future of antibiotics and resistance during the Special Lecture on Friday, December 5 . Also on
December 5, the Clinical Pathology Lecture features Dr . Alan Wu who will present
on the Implementation of Pharmacogenomic Testing in Clinical Practice . Remember to register early to reserve your seat at the highly sought-after video tutorials
where space is limited .
Please join us for what promises to be another interesting, informative and
meaningful meeting—designed to enhance your practice by providing seminars
in soft tissue, genitourinary pathology, salivary glad/thyroid pathology, endocervical pathology, and a molecular pathology symposium - plus many more topics
within microscope tutorials .
The California Society of Pathologists serves you, the practicing pathologist,
and is member supported in all of its activities . The CSP provides the means
for pathologists to address the issues that affect our professional lives . The
organization appreciates the benefits of high quality continuing medical education and supports programs to fill that need . In addition, the CSP recognizes the
importance of providing a forum for evolving practice management perspectives
and to communicate challenging ideas that protect and reinforce our specialty .
While there may be other venues for those activities, the advocacy work related
to governmental regulations that affect the way we practice pathology is unique
to the CSP, and is crucial to our profession . The mechanism exists to accomplish
these objectives through membership in the California Society of Pathologists .
With your participation and support, pathology will flourish at the heart of medical practice .
