I hope every one had a great September. Those of you who could not make it to the PHCoT first annual murder mystery, missed a truly wonderful evening of pirate intrigue and foul play. A huge shout out to our Vice President Cappy Harrell who, aided by Capt’n Andy, spent countless hours writing out all the characters and their parts. The murderer amongst us was none other than our very own Herb “walk the plank” This time of year is a very busy one for our club. We are collecting un wrapped non violent toys for the USMC annual ”Toys For Tots” drive. We are collecting toys at the November and December meeting. Please Please support this and give a child a Christmas who otherwise may not get one, any questions can be directed to Kathy Hallowes aka “the Kracken.” Tuesday, December 9th sees Peter Mayer bringing the “Stars and Promises 2014” to Virginia Beach courtesy of a lot of hard work By Rick Spink and Andy Harrell. For information see one of the above. That same weekend is the PHCoT Annual Charity Beach Ball to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association of South Eastern Virginia. This is a truly wonderful event. If you have never attended one please put this date on your calendar: Feb 6-8 2015. Thanks for supporting the club with all your hard work and donations. Gino Colombara, the President and CEO of the Southeastern Virginia Chapter, works closely along side us to make this event rewarding every year. The 18th annual Charity Beach Ball is slated for Saturday, February 7, 2015 at the Wyndham Oceanfront Resort in Virginia Beach. Our theme for this event is “Oceans, Oysters, and Pearls”. Events will include: Friday Night Pre-Party Silent and Live Auctions Gala Dinner Dance Stay tuned for more information to come.
