Kalabharathi Foundation for Indian Culture and Heritage, a well
acclaimed non-profitable cultural organisation is conducting
the second edition of its national dance and music festival in
association with Changampuzha Cultural Center at Changampuzha
Park, Edappally, Cochin from November 10th -12th. The fest
will showcase the most talented young artists of the country
in varied streams of Indian Music & Dance. The vision behind the
festival is to “Develop a new India by nurturing the artistic
talents of the youth”, thereby crafting a new India, Cultural
India.

Having toured extensively India
and abroad as a young performer Pavitra Bhat is also a recipient of innumerable awards and
recognition like A.T.Govindarajan
Pillai Award, A GRADE from
Doordarshan, Yuva nruthya
prathibha awards etc.

Sattriya
by Dr. Prathibha Sharma,
Guwahati.
Sattriya is one of the rarest and
beautiful classical dances of the
north-east. Dr. Prathibha
Sharma is a well acclaimed
danseuse and has received a
number of honours in the field.
She has also performed at all
major festivals of the country .

Kuchipudi
by Geetha Padmakumar, Kerala.
Kuchipudi named after the name of a
village in Andhrapradesh is considred to
be their traditional artform. Smt. Geetha
Padmakumar is a wellknown kuchupudi
performer, choreographer and teacher.
She is a disciple of Padmabhushan Dr.
Vempatti Chinnasathyam master and
passionately works for the popularity of
the artform. She has trained a number
of students in the field including cine
actors like Manju Warrier, Rachana
Narayanankutty etc.

Kathak
by Adithi Bhagwat, Mumbai
Kathak is one of the most spectacular
Indian art forms from north India. Aditi
is a well known kathak exponent and
the most outstanding in the younger
generation. She is an ‘A’ graded artist of
the Doordarshan Kendra and empanelled with the Indian Council of Cultural
Relations. With a strong foothold in
Kathak, she has also done a number of
collaborative works with Jazz maestro
Louiz Banks, ace percussionist Sivamani and music composer Merlin D'souza.
She is also a known actress through
hindi movies, several regional Marathi
films and television shows like "Avantika", "Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki" etc.


Odissi is a subtle yet gentle
artform originated in Orissa,
known for its sculpturesque
poses. Nrityantaar is a well
known odissi ensemble from
Bangalore led by the renowned
young professional Ms. Madhulita Mohapatra.
