BIBLIOTEKSKORT
GU-kortet fungerar som passerkort på den fakultet där du
läser. Du drar magnetremsan eller håller upp kortet mot
läsaren för att komma in. I vissa dörrar behöver du också
slå din PIN-kod. PIN-koden väljer du i studentportalen
när du beställer kortet. Giltighetstiden i mitten på kortet är
för passerfunktionen och anges i år och vecka (20XX/XX).
Tiden styrs av de kurser du är registrerad på i Ladok. Om
datumet har passerats behöver du uppdatera kortet för att
kunna komma in i lokalerna.
GU-kortet är ett multifunktionskort för studenter och
personal vid Göteborgs universitet. Fotot visar att kortet
är personligt och tillhör dig. Ytan nedanför det blå strecket
ändras när du uppdaterar kortet i en servicestation eller
hos Servicecenter. Du använder samma kort under hela din
studietid. Spara därför kortet även om du till exempel har
studieuppehåll. Om du förlorar ditt kort kostar ett nytt
50 kronor.
Ditt GU-kort är ett lånekort på Universitetsbiblio
teket. Det nummer som står under streckkoden är ditt
bibliotekskortnummer. För att logga in i bibliotekets
webbresurser anger du detta nummer (utan mellanslag)
samt ditt personnummer. Streckkoden används när du
lånar böcker i låneautomaten. Om biblioteksfunktionen
inte fungerar, kontakta biblioteket. Mer information om

GU CARD
LIBRARY CARD
The GU card is a multifunctional card for students and staff
at the University of Gothenburg. The photo shows that the
card is personal and belongs to you. The text on the surface
below the blue line changes when you update your card in
a service station or at Servicecenter. You use the same card
for as long as you are a student at the university. If you lose
your card a new card costs 50 SEK.
Your GU card is a library card at the University Library.
The number below the barcode is your library card
number. To access the library web resources you use
this number and your Swedish personal number (or your
temporary personal number). The barcode is used when
you borrow books at the lending machine. If you have
problems with the library function on your GU card,
please contact the library. More information is available

ACCESS CARD
The GU card functions as an access card at your faculty.
To open a door you swipe the magnetic strip or hold up
the card to the card reader. In some readers you also have
to enter your PIN code. You choose the PIN code when
you order your card in the Student Portal. The date in the
middleof the card shows how long the access function is
valid in year and week (20XX/XX). The valid date follows
your registrations in Ladok. If the card has expired, you
need to update it to get access.
RABATTKORT
Mecenatloggan på ditt GU-kort innebär att du har rätt till
studentrabatter hos Mecenat. Rabattens giltighetstid visas
under loggan (månad och år). Rabatterna aktiverar du
på Mecenats hemsida med de inloggningsuppgifter som
Mecenat skickar till dig. Har du inte fått inloggningsupp
gifterna kontaktar du Mecenat. Är du registrerad på minst
75 procents studier under terminen eller är under 26 år får
du även rabatt hos SJ. Läs mer om rabatterna på

DISCOUNT CARD
The Mecenat logo on the GU card entitles you to student
discounts. For how long the discounts are valid is shown
below the Mecenat logo (month and year). To get access to
all your discounts you have to activate them at Mecenat’s
website. Mecenat will send you log in information. If you
have not received any log in information please contact
Mecenat. If your study rate is 75 percent or more during
the semester or if you are under 26 years old you also get
discounts at SJ (trains). Read more about the discounts at

UTSKRIFT OCH KOPIERING
I universitetets utskriftstjänst, GUprint, använder du ditt
GU-kort för att hämta dina utskrifter vid valfri skrivare
som ingår i systemet. Du loggar in på skrivaren med
ditt kort och din PIN-kod. Läs mer om funktionen på

PRINTING AND COPYING
In the university printing system, GUprint, you use your
GU card to collect your prints at any printer connected
to the system. You log in at the printer with you card
and your PIN code. Read more about the printing
